1. Describe your community service experience. What did you do today?
Community service experience took a unique form as they were engaged in remote
activities due to geographical constraints. Despite being in different locations, our
team/classmates collaborated on the documentation of a concept paper for a Corporate
Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative at the New Bilibid Prison. My main tasks involved
detailed planning and outlining of the CSR, focusing on its objectives, strategies, and
anticipated impact. As well, I’d dedicated my time to brainstorming sessions, exploring
innovative and effective ways to execute the CSR initiative within the prison
environment.

2. What appealed to you about this community service opportunity? Is this type of
community service related to any goals/interest you have about your future. Explain
why or why not.

The appeal of this community service opportunity lies in its potential to make a positive
impact on the lives of individuals within the New Bilibid Prison community. It aligns with
my goals of contributing to societal well-being, exploring ethical business practices, and
engaging in initiatives that promote social responsibility and justice.

The CSR program places a central focus on the comprehensive well-being of individuals
within the prison community. This involves the strategic implementation of programs
dedicated to promoting mental health, fostering emotional resilience, and addressing
the overarching rehabilitation needs of the incarcerated population. Through targeted
initiatives and support systems, the project aims to contribute to the overall welfare and
positive transformation of individuals in the prison environment.

4. What is one take away from your community service experience today? How were you
able to help the organization with its goals/mission?

Even though our community service involved remote collaboration on the

documentation of a concept paper rather than physical engagement. My contribution
was in helping lay the groundwork for the organization's goals and mission. Through
strategic planning and documentation, we aimed to provide a well-structured
framework that, when implemented, has the potential to make a positive and lasting
impact on the New Bilibid Prison community.

5. Would you volunteer at this organization/event? Why? or Why not?

Yes, willingness to volunteer at the New Bilibid Prison despite potential challenges like
travel expenses reflects a commendable commitment to community service. While
financial considerations are a valid factor. Volunteering at the New Bilibid Prison could
be a meaningful and transformative experience as an individual’s aim to support.
