As an engineering student, the students in their projects generate false results, untruth statements
or testimonials because the students often rationalize it. Students who steal will still see themselves
as individuals of value by rationalizing cheating for valid reasons. We also rationalize cheating on
projects we find to have merit. Studies showed students who are celebrated as smart are more
likely to exaggerate their success and cheat on assignments.
In addition , students are biologically predisposed to be more tolerant of uncertain outcomes than
their older peers, and less bothered by reported threats. In this age of technology, students today
have easy access to fast answers and material that they can replicate for their projects. Statistics
show that technology has made it simpler, more convenient, and harder to detect cheating at school
than ever.
To overcome this issue, the pressure needs to be turn down. Students are less likely to cheat on
work in which they feel invested. Lecturers should look at creating take-home projects and
assignments that encourage the student to think critically and expand on class discussions. In
addition, lecturers and parents should be thoughtful about their language. Research stated that
using the language of fixed mindsets like praising the students for being smart as opposed to
praising them for effort and progress is both demotivating and increases cheating.
Next, student honors councils should be created. Students should be given an opportunity to
enforce honor codes or write their own classroom through honor councils so they can develop a
full understanding of how cheating affects themselves and others.
Besides that, having plagiarism checker and similarity percentage in every course can reduce the
percentage of student cheating and copying in completing their assignments. Website such as
Turnitin where it is checked by lectures and educators can be reinforced tightly and increase to
10% or lesser similarity.
Also conducting continuous discussion with lectures and students should be made as an
assessment. This is done so that students can always discuss for question they did not understand.
By doing this it can intrigued student to communicate better with their educators and better
thinking skills instead of copying or relying to other sources.
(b)
Suggestion for the company to respond towards the COVID-19 outbreak crisis are as follows:
• Provide training for the employees
The organization will provide workers with training on policies to minimize COVID-19 spread,
general hygiene, what to do if they have symptoms, cleaning and disinfection, facial makeup,
social distance, use of personal protective equipment and healthy working practices
• Maintain a healthy work environment
Using the building ventilation system , the organization will consider improving engineering
controls by increasing ventilation levels and ensuring proper operation of ventilation systems and
providing appropriate indoor air quality for the current occupancy level for each room. In addition
, the organization will provide employees , clients and visitors with equipment about what they
need to clean their hands to cover their coughs to sneezes such as tissue, no touch garbage cans,
antibacterial soap and hand sanitizer. The company should discourage handshaking among the
employees and the clients. Moreover, routine cleaning should be performed in the company such
as the workstations, pantry, keyboards, telephones, handrails, and doorknobs.
• Maintain healthy workplace operation
The company will appoint a workplace specialist who will be responsible for COVID-19 problems
and their organizational impacts. The organization will then introduce the adjustable sick leave
and the policies and procedures to help it. That can be achieved by retaining the flexible policies
that require workers to stay home to care for a sick member of the family or their children due to
the closing of school and day care. Additional flexibilities might include giving advances on future
sick leave and allowing employees to donate sick leave to each other. In addition, the company
should establish policies and practices for social distancing. The workplace should be altered to
help workers and customers to maintain social distancing and physically separate employees from
each other when possible. For instance, establish flexible working hours, increase physical space
between employees at the workplace by modifying the workplace.
• Prevent and reduce transmission among employees
The organization will consciously allow sick workers to stay at home and should alert their
employee of workers who have symptoms or employees that are well but have a sick family
member at home with COVID-19. In fact, before entering the building, the organization would
consider carrying out routine health checks of its employees. The health test process will maintain
the recommendations for social distancing and the use of personal protective equipment.
Therefore, describe when and how employees could be exposed to COVID-19 at their place of
work. For example, conduct a hazard assessment of the workplace to identify potential hazard
related to COVID-19. Use appropriate combination of controls to limit the spread of COVID-19
among the employees.

(a) Since the covid-19 attacks the world, all industry effected by the movement control order to
prevent the spreading of Covid19 in community. The restriction movement made the tourism
industry effected, when people cannot go out from the country for vacation, the airplane industry
were in the worst condition, airplane one of the most consumption fuel in the world. In figure 2(a)
we can observe analyze the weekly petrol price, in December the oil price stable but it started to
drop starting from February 2020 as we entering the phase of COVID-19, people began to stay
indoors and the usage and demand for oil drop drastically. At this time, the oil has been
oversupplying and there is no demand as people began to stay indoors and the driving restrictions
are within 10km only. The consequences of oversupplying of oil and less demand result in
exacerbating the price crash. From march until may the price drop further more as we extending
the lockdown period and more people are staying indoors, but yet the production of oil still in
running because oil considered as essential product and the operation still need ongoing, and the
result of that the price begin reaching RM1.00++ the lowest petrol price in 2020 and we can see a
drop in RON 97 with a drop of RM1.4 from December 2019. From May 2020 onwards the oil
price began to increase slowly as the covid-19 pandemic began to lesser down and the government
of Malaysia lift it restriction movement orders resulting many people to go out and buy more oil,
thus the price began to rose up steadily as demand increase. From this graph we can conclude that
the demand of usage affected directly to petrol price, more demand equal to increasing price and
reducing demand resulting price drop, this is all relate with the oil supply production as oil
production work will always be done year long.

b) Inflation can come in two types, price inflation and money inflation. Price inflation is the price
for an item increase or the costing for manufacturing an item is increases. The money inflation is
the currency money is dropped because the money supply was over due to losing interest from
other country to invest. In my opinion, inflation and productivity of country effected directly with
people income and cost of living because of one major factor is money salary and wages. As
inflation increases the demand for salary and wages increases as well. The productivity of the
country affected as well because in relate of GDP, gross domestic product of a country. Better
productivity of the country will result in better GDP , thus reducing in inflation of price and money.
Increasing inflation but decreasing productivity of country will increase cost of living thus in
demand more of people income and people wage. A simple example of inflation and productivity
of country, in within the pandemic of covid-19 and Malaysia started to recover its economic as we
progressing in “Process Permulihan”, sales from clothing shops from Nike,Adidas,JD sports are
doing half price sales, buy1 free 1 sales, all this to increase its productivity in sales and to avoid
inflation, the reduce in price are result in lower people income to create demand in sales and better
GDP.

covid-19 event the role in industry, innovation and infrastructure plays a big part in the peak of
lockdown and restraining order, thus the three action that can achieve by other countries are
• Unlimited access of information and communication-based technologies
Access of internet to gain information plays a significant role in the midst of pandemic as
every students and educators stays indoors and lock in, thus the way to connect with one
another are through internet, as example through Google Classroom, Google hangout and
Google Meet, as well as Skype and Zoom. The action that can be done and already done
by countries such as China is constantly improve its internet access to the even deepest
rural areas for better internet access and communication based technologies, internet in
china with HUAWEI technologies already reach up to 5G band
• The challenges for Malaysia for achieving these goals are mainly by cost factor.
There are numerous areas in Malaysia that still lack of internet access, students
must risk with climbing up tress, camp through days long to get basic internet
coverage. The problem and challenges here are the unwillingness of certain parties
such as political parties to provide free and basic internet due to low profit gain in
certain areas as well as neglection of political leaders in acknowledging these issues

• Improving technologies in industrial sector for better research purposes

For better innovation and industrial growth within a nation, the improvement of
technologies for research purposes need to be constantly enhanced, the reason why this is
important research and development plays an important role in constant innovation and
knowledges. The significance of this is seen during this COVID-19 pandemic as doctors,
scientist and research are constantly researching and finding ways to detect the virus, to
kill it and to find the vaccines. Countries such as India, China and United state of America
have technologies advancement to research on the virus, so the search of the vaccine is still
proceeding. Unlike countries like Africa and Indonesia, the COVID-19 testing and
researching is still lack on due to lack of industrial technologies
• Challenges for Malaysia to have better research and improving and upgrading its
industrial technologies is due to lack of funding in these areas, research and lab
work seems uninteresting thus lesser funding in these areas. Malaysia need to
collaborate with nation such as Turkey, South Korea, and China to develop
COVID-19 vaccine instead of becoming the prime nation for R&D in Covid-19
research.

• Raise local technologies development and industrial combination and diversity.

Activity that can be done by other country is to constantly support its domestic technologies
by importance science and technologies subject, classes and learning with holding better
science innovation competition and discussion with relation of the local industry. By this
it will create a direct link for local industry and technological advancement in developing
countries. Local authorities and local government play a big role in promoting this ideas
 and concept and implement in with its ways to improving innovation with better
industrialization.
• Challenges for Malaysia that lacking in this sector are due to lack of knowledge
and lack of resources in developing these ideas and implementing it. Costing and
funding also play a huge role as technological development always in need of
funding. But in UiTM SEA-IC its technological development with FKM student
are always in effort with current industry for technological advancement.

1. Bring your own Tupperware and bottle water instead of using plastic or polystyrene cup.
Student and lectures need to always bring their own Tupperware to canteen and when take-
away food. This effort is done to reduce plastic and polystyrene usage in the campus.
Alternatively, if the student or lectures are neglect to bring their own Tupperware, they
need to buy it with increasing price, and the money could always use to donate to proper
green organization
2. Coway or JISOO water filter.
Having water filter placed in the campus brings better than harm because as students bring
their own water bottles, they can refill it anytime with a price of 1litre 0.50 cent. And the
water filter could be placed within 5-10km each premises.
3. No more attendance sheet and paper using based assignment and test.
All paper usage should be reduced within time and integrated with AI technologies as
moving towards IR4.0, attendance can be done through QR codes, assignment, test can be
done and uploaded through Google classroom.
4. Better waste management for sustainability.
A lot of wastage are done by the faculty lab work, thus the wastage need to have better
management and reusing purpose for sustainability and reducing cost, metal sheets and
scraps should be review back and the usage should be reduced.
5. For creating healthier campus, the management should implement BMI check similarly to
Top Glove company where the student should be aware of the health more by doing this.
To creating better awareness stairs, need to be use more often and walking should be
normalized in the campus.

a) A gift is something we donate to others without expecting a return. Gift can come in
many ways, including money, transportation, hampering, or even restaurant meal.
Occasionally accepting gift may be a proper part of maintaining a business relationship.

Receiving them, however, could be subject to a severe violation of professional integrity ,

professionalism, as well as regulations. For instance, the public official is not allowed to
accept any gift, such as angpow, in any form from any person related to the officer's official
duties. The act of paying attention to something and getting it could lead to corruption.

In ethical terms, these actions may lead to the free-market economic system's corruption
and ant competitiveness. Nevertheless, empowering the wealthiest to make laws could also
undermine justice and public policy.

In code of ethics of engineering, "Engineers shall not, expressly or indirectly, receive or

accept financial or other beneficial compensation from contractors, their employees or
other parties in conjunction with the work for employers or clients for which they are
liable."

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission also claimed in Section 16 and the penalties
that any person who, by himself or in partnership with any other individual, receives or
agrees to obtain for himself or herself for any other individual, is corrupt. It is also specified
in the law that a penalty of not less than 20 years and a fine of not less than five times the
amount/value of the reward shall be imposed where it is capable of being valued or is
monetary, or MYR 10,000, whichever is higher.

To uphold a high level of fairness and dignity in decision making and behavior, a gift and
hospitality must be consistent with the other aspects of the company's ethics policy.

No matter how good the purpose is for the giver, there is always a risk that there will be
improper ties. Professionalism Workers need input on the company's policy of gift
acceptance, including the approval of their boss or person in charge. Guidance is usually
included in the gift and hospitality policy of the company.

a) Romance, scam, love, lies and money scam is when an individual take advantages of their
victims, typically happen across online platforms, their standard operation normally
starting with gaining your trust but at the end luring you and taking advantages of their
victim which result in becoming a scam victim.
The scammer will normally make fake profiles and fake their identities to draw us inside.
In a short time, these offenders will show their victims their emotions and will turn from a
website to a private channel such as a text or a call.

Such people are generally believed to be Malaysians who have worked outside the country.
They will openly ask for money, gifts, and online banking information when they have the
victim's confidence. Usually these scammers would pretend to have a personal emergency
that in a short time required a large amount of money, such as pretending that emergency
medical treatment was needed by one of their family members. They may also be alleging
financial distress because of a failed company. No matter how scam the victim gets, they
will lose a huge amount of money and it is not easy to get them back. The survivor would
be suffering a long-term emotional abuse at the hands of someone they loved.

Therefore, few actions that could be taken to avoid becoming a victim is do not trust people
so quickly. The scenario happens when an individual trust a person easily without doing
any background check. The first thing first when knowing a person or an anonymous
individual is to do a background check and identify whether their credentials is correct, get
to know the person name, age, home address, education background, social medias account
before getting to know them better. This step seems hard, but it is important to know
whether someone is true or catfish a victim.

Besides that, get to know how they look, having them to take pictures, selfies, or videos on
their claims to know whether he or she is what they claim to be. If they work in a bank
environment, ask them to take their workplace picture. And, to meet them in person or do
a facetime or video call check to know they are the person they claimed to be. If he/she
keep declining the offer, rebut and reject that person, the person may have wrong intention
over you and may not be the person they stated to be.

An important note to know, is to never tell a person your wage or salary as their maybe
going after your money. Always blurred out of the figure and never tell them directly unless
you trust the person well enough.

Even if we are in love with someone, never move money through online banking because
we cannot get back anyway. Finally, if you feel any doubts about that person, immediately
stop the conversation and report right away. Therefore, the scammer will not trap another
person with all the love.
