Introduction

Recount text is a text that telling the reader about one story, action or
activity, or a text which retells events or experiences in the past.
Writers should remember that while the purpose is to retell they still
need to craft their retelling to be interesting to the reader. Verb phrase
is a syntactic unit composed of at least one verb and its dependents
objects, complements and other modifiers, but not always including
the subject. The head of verb phrase is a verb that has 2 class
transitive verb and intransitive verb. The verb is usually following by
others nature such as article, adjective, and etc.

My holiday at home Analysis

My Holiday at home
Last holiday was my worst holiday because I did not go anywhere. I just stayed
in my home.In the morning, I woke up and had a breakfast. After that, I played
with my cat. In the afternoon, I had a lunch and after that I took a nap. In the
evening. I watched until I felt boring.My daily activities were like that during
the holiday. So, I was sure last holiday was my worst holiday.

I will use verb and verb phrases to analysis My Holiday at home recount text.
Verb is an event or activities that ongoing on present,past or future that need a
subject. The head of verb phrases is a verb that has 2 class transitive verb and
intransitive verb. The verb is usually following by others nature such as
article,adjective and etc. in the text above there are 6 verb phrases in text above
that will be analyze by me.
1. I did not go anywhere.
I did not go anywhere is a verb pharases. I did not go is the head and anywhere
is the modifier. I is a single noun. Did not go is the verb, go is transitive verb.
Anywhere is adverb of places.
2. I just stayed at home
I just stayed at home is a verb pharases. I just stayed is the head and at home is
the modifier. Just stayed is the head that the stay is transitive verb and just is an
adjective and the second is the prepositional phrases that modifier the verb or
the word before. The head is home and at is the modifier. Home is a single noun
and at is preposition.
3. I woke up and had a breakfast.
In the sentence above there are two verb pharases in one sentence. I woke up is
consist or build of I as single noun, woke up is intransitive verb. Two verb
pharases is restricted by and as conjunction. The second verb pharases is had a
breakfast. Had is transitive verb and breakfast is noun.
4. I played with my cat.
I played with my cat is verb pharases. I is a single noun while played is
transitive verb and the verb is describe that the event is has been done or past.
With is conjunction and my cat is noun pharases that cat is the the head and
single noun. My is interjection.
5. I had a lunch and after that I took a nap
There are 2 verb pharases exist in sentence above I had lunch and after that I
took a nap. I had lunch is consist of I as single noun, a is determiner. The
second verb pharases is that I took a nap that connected with first verb pharases
by and, and after. And is conjunction and after is conjunction. That is
determiner, I as a single noun, took a nap is verb phrases. Took is transitive
verb, a is determiner and nap is intransitive verb.
6. I watched until I felt boring
I watched until I felt boring is verb pharases. I as single noun, watched is
transitive verb and on the sentence above the activities or event is done by the
writer. Until is preposition that connected first verb pharases with the second. I
felt boring is adjective pharases. I as single noun, felt is transitive verb that
described in text above with v2 and boring is an adjective.
