Design a hose pipe storage system that will allow a hose pipe to be used and stored whilst
connected to a tap.

b. Sketch three ideas for the hosepipe storage system.
c. i. Evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the three designs
ii. choose one design and justify your choice.
d. Draw, using a method of your own choice, a full solution to the problem. Include
construction details and major dimensions. (Remember to include annotations,
close-ups, different angles and/or separate drawings of specific parts to
communicate your design).
e. Suggest two suitable specific materials for your solution and give reasons for your
choice.

Food is often moved to the place where it is to be eaten.

Design a mobile unit which will allow six dishes of food to be moved at the same time.

you consider important.
b. Sketch three ideas for the mobile unit.

ii. choose one design and justify your choice.

Space for storage of personal items can be limited in small bedrooms.

Design a wall or floor-mounted unit which will provide storage for personal items.

a. List four additional specification points about the function of the wall or
floor-mounted unit that you consider important.
b. Sketch three ideas for the wall or floor-mounted unit.
c. i. Evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the three designs
ii. choose one design and justify your choice.
d. Draw, using a method of your own choice, a full solution to the problem. Include
construction details and major dimensions. (Remember to include annotations,
close-ups, different angles and/or separate drawings of specific parts to
communicate your design).
e. Suggest two suitable specific materials for your solution and give reasons for your

Advantages: This is made from wood boards with two metal bars that are welded to the wall.
The metal bars are designed for moving the stand and accommodate it to your personal
decision where you can put it more taller or lower. Also another advantage that this shelving
has is that it has two levels where you can put different things in each one and have more
organized your items.

Disadvantages: The disadvantages of this product is that it is made from wood and if the
wood gets wet it can deteriorate or also with the passing of the years. Also the metal bars
need maintenance in a certain time because they can oxidize and make the movement of
the bars don't fulfill its function.

Design 2
Advantages:In this new design we can see how the materials are from plastic and
transparent sides where you can see the things that are in the table. Also is more accessible
in price and easier to clean.

Disadvantages: The disadvantages of this product is that the materials are not very or not
very long used and also these materials with the time start to have their problems.
Design 3
Advantages: In the last design the advantages of this are that it is full of glass were the
material will not suffer any problems with weather or the passing of the time. Also a rack of
wire that is for decoration.

Disadvantages: The disadvantages are the cost of the glass that will be higher than other
materials and the resistance to hits or things that fall down and break the glass.

ii. The design that i choose is the 1 and i choose it because of the combination of good
materials, its mobility and a good combination to be aesthetic with the bedroom. Although it
is not very spacious, the movements that the iron bars give are essential for cleaning in that
place or adjusting it at the place you want.

d. Here, you may attach any number of pictures you consider appropriate, make sure
that your design is understandable. Annotations can be done both manually like
digitally, but be sure they are readable.

e. Be sure to specify for which part of the product the material is for, and why you have
chosen it.

Material 1: I chose iron because it was the best way to give the product a facility where they
can move the table and also give a resistant and long durability to the client.

Material 2: The second material is wood because of its durability and also the way this
material combines with many rooms and is where the aesthetic takes place.
