    Heat and stir using glass rod the mixture of dilute sulfuric acid and copper oxide till no more solid dissolves.
    Filter to remove excess copper oxide, into new beaker using filter paper and funnel.
    Heat filtrate of copper sulphate solution till crystallisation point, then leave to cool.
    Wash crystals using drops of water and dry using filter paper.

    Filter mixture to remove excess cobalt carbonate, into new beaker using filter paper and funnel.
    Heat filtrate of cobalt (II) chloride solution till crystallisation point (solid starts to form), then leave to
    cool.
    Filter the crystals.
    Wash crystals using drops of water and dry between two filter papers..
