RESISTANCE TEMPERATURE DETECTORS

Model 102-00000/MS28034-1/nickel. MIL-T-7990B APPROVED. A compact and lightweight

nickel sensor. This device is best applied to temperature measurements of gearbox oil, fuel and hydraulic
(low pressure) fluids. Ideal for limited clearance applications. This sensor responds rapidly to temperature
changes and has minimal stem conduction error. Features include: fast response, hermetic seal, tip, low
stern conduction, single element, welded internal construction, integral connector, 2-wire element.
Application notes: This frequently specified sensor is best suited for fluid temperature measurements,
but has been used in some applications for gas turbine inlet air temperature and airframe outside air
temperature. Other applications include oil, fuel and hydraulic system (low pressure) temperature.

Model 102-00001/MS28034-2/nickel. MIL-T-7990B APPROVED. This versatile sensor is an

excellent choice for inexpensive temperature measurements in either liquid or gaseous media. Its greater
stem length virtually eliminates stem conduction error, while its low mass and FAS-TIP element offer 63.2%
step response in slightly more than one second. The sensor may be used in nearly any environment. Commonly
placed in inlet air ducts to measure outside air temperature, it can be used in similar manner to measure cabin
air or cargo bay temperature also. Its hermetically sealed design permits trouble-free operation in areas of high
humidity. While test specification pressure requires 200 psi as a maximum, this device remains leak proof at
pressures to 1000 psi. The device is also well suited for fuel temperature and the measurement of oil temperature
in sumps and reservoirs. Features Include: fast response, hermetic seal, tip, low stem conduction, high pressure,
thread mounted, single element, corrosion resistant, welded internal construction, NBS traceable calibration,
integral connector, 2-wire element.

and the general aviation industry under liquid and gaseous conditions, this sensing device exceeds stringent
US military specifications for response time, burst pressure, and AC high potential tests. A compact and
lightweight nickel sensor, this device is best applied to temperature measurements of gearbox oil, fuel
and hydraulic (low pressure) fluids. Ideal for limited clearance applications. This sensor responds rapidly
to temperature changes and has minimal stem conduction error when considering its compact dimensions.
Features include: fast response, hermetic seal, tip, compact housing, single element, NBS traceable
calibration, integral connector, 2-wire element.

Model 101-00114. A new, robust designed temperature sensor for measuring cooling oil on the
Integrated Drive and Variable Speed Constant Frequency Generators. This new sensor was developed in
concert with Boeing to provide greatly improved service life, lower support costand be completely inter-
changeable with the original P/N 42TC12-2 sensor. Our sensor's lead assembly was robustly designed to
reduce pre-load on sensor leads. This allows the sensor to accept installation induced twist stress in the
high vibration environment of the engine gear box. Our normal manufacturing processes including laser
welding major metal assemblies and TIG welding all lead connections further enhance the sensor’s
reliability. Laser and TIG welding improve overall strength.
