1. Write about you.

Write six true sentences about yourself using this pattern:

Something happened in the past. Since then ....

I broke my leg when I was ten years old. Since then I haven’t been able to play football
I saw a crime near my home yesterday. Since then I haven’t been able to sleep.
I studied a lot for an exam three days go. Since I passed the exam I’m very happy.
I catch a bus two years ago. Since then I always go by underground.
I saw an alligator in Núria, two days ago. Since then I haven’t seen any more.
I wrote a letter to my parents last month. Since then I haven’t written more letters.

2. An imaginary crypto-animal.

Last summer I was trekking near Núria, when I saw an alligator-sized bird. It was a very strange
and beautiful specimen. At first sight I thought it could be an American alligator, but its fur was
blue and grey at the same time. Sometimes it was like the blue see, sometime seemed silver.
Its head was a red of low intensity with big dark eyes. It stared at me sing a melody that
remembered me the sound of the angels.

Tutorial 2. – A sighting
You have been asked to write a short report for the International Society of Cryptozoology about
an assumed (not confirmed) sighting of a pterosaur.

I was walking with my dog near the river. Its name is Isco. I like to walk in the afternoon, when
the sun becomes to disappear and the stars begin to shine. There is a big peace in those
moments. Last Monday I was very tired after a day of hard work. It could be ten o’clock when I
saw a pterosaur fishing in the river. It was very huge, and dark, with big claws and one horn in
the middle of its head. Suddenly, it caught my dog and began to wind up to the heaven, and
when it was very high it released my dog, which falls in the river. I began to shout to my dog:
“Isco, Isco, where are you?”, but I can’t hear any sound, so I went inside the river, swimming in
the cold waters, to find it. Finally the dog sparked. It was alive.
