There are many uses of artificial intelligence, whether in work or life in general.

AI can be used to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of decision making and improve lives
through new applications and services. It can be used to solve some thorny political problems related
to climate change, infrastructure and health care. It is not surprising, therefore, that governments are
looking for ways to build expertise and understanding in AI, both within the public sector and within
wider society. There are many uses of it.

In the early 90s, businesses relied heavily on manual data entry and paperwork for their
operations. This often required a great deal of human effort – and time – to complete.
Nowadays, many companies are turning to software robots to complete these processes automatically,
in order to improve workflows and productivity – and remain competitive. This automation is one of
the best-known benefits of AI, and it is widely used across all sectors from manufacturing to transport
. Simply put, automation is when a machine carries out simple, repeatable activities, following
instructions set by people. Although automation still needs a certain level of human input, it’s not as
labour-intensive as its legacy counterpart.

There’s a reason why companies are actively placing greater value on emotional intelligence
than ever before; it helps reduce bias and subjectivity from decision-making. And when you have
companies with high asset risks on their books, you can’t afford to get this wrong.
Artificial intelligence can analyse trends, develop data consistency, provide forecasts and identify
anomalies – all of which helps it to make smarter, unbiased data-driven decisions. It’s no wonder 86%
of executives are now using AI for their businesses.

Data analysis and processing has always been at the heart of successful business strategies.
With the increase in the amount of data available, it’s become a tall order for analysts to manipulate
data in a way that produces meaningful insights – without spending copious amounts of time and
resources . AI in analytics can be categorised into: predictive analytics, where the AI uses historical
data to make predictions; prescriptive analytics, where the AI not only predicts, but also prescribes a
course of action; and augmented analytics, where the AI is able to extract meaningful insights from
datasets.

Minimizing human error is another essential benefit of AI. Learning algorithms help determine
potential scenarios for error and make real-time corrections. When applied, manufacturing
companies can closely monitor output, increase employee safety, and reduce the chances of
production errors. Shipping industries can account for potential input inaccuracies, shipping delays,
or lost goods, therefore limiting revenue loss. And even healthcare providers can increase patient care
and outcomes by ensuring a patient’s test result does not go overlooked. Through using AI as a tool to
help minimize human error, every industry increases its potential for success.
