Epidemiology
Bacterial conjunctivitis

Treatment

❖ Preventing contagion
❖ Specific therapy - bacterial conjunctivitis
❖ Viral conjunctivitis- symptomatic therapy
Viral conjunctivitis therapy

● naphazoline-pheniramine, ketotifen

● Warm or cool compresses

● Systemic antibiotic and antiviral therapies play no role
