Power Management System
NORIS – SYMAP is easy to program and operate. A large graphic LCD with optional LED indicators conveys important
data, such as position of all connected breakers, parameter settings, and event history, at a glance. Graphics and
measurement data are displayed side-by-side on the LCD, and the user does not have to switch between pages.
NORIS – SYMAP provides four hotkeys under the LCD offering access to four groups of values:
- Meters
- Alarms
- Processes
- Breaker Controls

General function
Each EOT module is equipped with 11 command push buttons. The EOT
is mounted in a panel cut-out and connected to each other via CANbus.
Three different types of EOT panels are available: a master module for
the bridge and astem bridge respectively and a slave module for the
engine room or engine control room.
By pressing a command push button, e.g. on the bridge EOT, the
connected EOT panels indicate the command visually and acoustically:
the appropriate command push button is flashing and in addition
an integrated buzzer will be activated. The command has to be
acknowledged by the operator at the receiving EOT by pressing the
flashing command push button.
EOT illumination and engine order announcement
The neutral background illumination is blue. The commands are
indicated on the command push buttons with a green-coloured
illumination when activated for ahead commands and red-coloured
for astern commands. The command status is indicated by a flashing
illumination for unacknowledged and by a steady illumination for Features
acknowledged commands.
Different EOT types for different locations
Furthermore the complete inscription of the EOT panels is illuminated
for night design. In addition the bridge EOT panels is illuminated for Rugged construction for harsh environments
night design. In addition the bridge EOT has an integrated dimmmer Up to 12 telegraphs in one system
function to adjust the inscription and command status illumination. The
illumination functionality can be tested by a lamp test.
Illumination of all commands and push buttons
Failure monitoring and alarm indication Different illumination colours for different command
The proper operation of the EOT system is monitored and indicated states
by an illuminated operating status field and a system failure field on Operating status indication
each EOT. A flashing code gives information about occuring failures.
Furthermore a system analysis is realised via a RS-232 interface to Failure monitoring and indication
readout system failures. All NMEA-Datasets adn alarms contain a time Lamp test
stamp which is created by an internal real-time clock or an external ship
clock signal. Alarms will be stored in a ring buffer and can be accessed Dimming function (Bridge EOT only)

Additionally, it has two galvanically isolated binary inputs, e.g. for 2 binary inputs, galvanically isolated

Operation with several EOTs
The EOT system can manage up to 12 telegraph modules. A number of up to 6 modules can
operate on bridge side and as well up to 6 modules on engine side.
