RC Circuit Behavior Analysis in PSpice

This document provides instructions for simulating and analyzing a series RC circuit using PSpice and Tinkercad. The instructions include running an AC analysis on the circuit in PSpice at different frequencies and recording branch impedances, currents, and voltages. The circuit is then constructed in Tinkercad and voltages are measured to calculate phase angles at different frequencies. Observations from the simulations and experiments are to be explained.

Study the behavior of a series RC circuit.

1. Built the following circuit in pspice, and run AC analysis from 100 to 80 KHz, use separate
current probe, voltage probe, and differential probe, complete the following table, you calculate
the impedance by taking Vin/It, for each branch.

F=1KHZ

Branch impedance Branch current Resistor voltage Capacitor voltage

F=5KHZ

2. Paste a copy of your drawing.

3. Paste a copy of your output graph and paste here

4. Construct the circuit on tinkercad, and use the three frequencies from step 1, measure the
voltages across the capacitor, and the resistors, then use them to calculate phase angle, record
all these in the following table

Frequency 1000 HZ 5000 HZ 10 KHZ

Capacitor voltage
Resistor voltage
Phase angle

5. Paste your tinkrcad circuit here.

6. Explain your observation.
