In this activity, several students will be asked to sit in the “Hot Seat” and
answer questions related to the topic.
The questions are:
1. Where can you find information about repairing chairs in your school?
2. What about the internet? How can you use it to find information on
repairing chairs safely?
3. Can you ask your parents or guardians if they have any knowledge or
resources related to chair repair?
4. What tools might be needed to repair a chair, and where can you learn
how to use them safely?Are there any DIY (Do It Yourself) websites or
videos that you can access for chair repair instructions?

Furniture Detective: Turn the repair project into a mystery-solving
activity. The teacher will divide the class into two groups. The teacher
will provide each group an envelop containing puzzle pieces of picture.
Each group must piece the puzzle and identify damages of the classroom
furniture.Show them a damaged classroom chair and ask them to identify
the issues and come up with a plan to fix it.

provided necessary tools, such as screws, nails, screwdrivers, and
sandpaper. Reassemble their tables by following a set of repair

1. In our activity earlier, and as you have observe in our school and in
your homes that school staffs and your parents repairing your damage
chairs, why do we need to repair and maintain classroom chairs or chairs
in our house instead of just throwing it?
