Head of Department,
Department of Anaesthesia & intensive care,
O.A.U.T.H.C.

To:
The Chief medical Director,
O.A.U.T.H.C,
Ile-Ife.
Dear sir,
LETTER OF RESIGNATION
One of the happiest days of my life was the day I received the letter of appointment to
work with O.A.U.T.H.C, especially in the Anesthesia and Intensive Care unit. I was thrilled. It
was a dream come true for me. You could imagine that resigning was a very difficult decision to
arrive at! Letting go what I call a dream come true to a lesser place, for something else, is not
easy for me. I am deeply sad. If I had a choice to persist despite the non-payment of salary for
eight months, I would have, but I have exhausted all options, and the current one is not working.
I see myself now as a dead walking man; useless to self, family, friends and society. I have
begun to suffer depression.
I am resigning because I can no longer cope living without salary. It is affecting me
financially, socially, spiritually, and mentally. I am being owed eight months salary, and my
other colleagues eleven!
O.A.U.T.H.C is a place I would love to come back to when there is conducive working
condition and learning. I would appreciate if I could be considered once the current problems are
all sorted out.

Thank you so much sir, for your care, thoughtfulness, and understanding during this
difficult time. I look forward to a better future working with you.
Please accept my painful submission of this resignation letter.
