In order for Linux to be Linux, you must have your
ports
closed on Localhost and Public IP ISP that you use as
well ... ;
Let us start by closing ports on your localhost, by
uninstalling
software that is a risk to your system, then by using
an ISP
that has Closed Ports and is not breached ... ;
sudo nmap -Pn -O localhost ; (THEN YOUR ISP PUBLIC
IP) ... ;
You can easily type in What's my IP for ISP IP ... ;
Now that you have closed your ports and checked it do
this,
come up with a password for your Linux System that is
Secure
Enough and will do the job and can be Stored also ... ;
Make sure you apply to both root and all user passwords
... ;
That way a password is required for Sudo or Su Root ...
;
Come up with the Password first then use ("passwd") ...
;
THE PASSWORD YOU WILL NEED TO GENERATE FOR ARCH LINUX :
tr -cd '[:alnum:]' < /dev/urandom | fold -w30 | head -
n1 ;
Then Encode it to HEX AND Write it down if needed ... ;
Now go with sudo passwd root ; sudo passwd <user> ; ...
;
Now that you have set your passwords you can have less
problems with permissions and Privledge
Escalation ... ;
