CONGRATULATIONS!
You’re taking important steps to creating the organized life and home that you want
And you’re starting with such an important part of all that:

And that’s creating a morning and evening routine for your child.

Because kids thrive on routines and schedules they can predict. And YOU thrive when
your kids have a set routine that doesn’t require nagging and daily struggles. And this
handy little printable is here to help.

But before we dive straight into all things “routines”, I want to take 2 seconds to intro-
duce myself.

I’m Erin, founder of The Incremental Mama, history professor, and mom to 4 little girls (all
born in under 5 years).

And I’m obsessed with helping moms like you, take back control of your life by creating
routines and getting organized. So that you can actually create space in your life to feel
peace...and enjoy motherhood.

And today, we’re starting with creating the right morning and evening routines for your
kiddo. Research and experience shows that kids thrive when they have reliable routines
and predictable schedules.

Let’s do this!

HOW TO USE THIS PRINTABLE

This template is set up so that you can create a custom morning & evening routine for
your child. Instead of nagging, you can create a chart that reminds your kid what they
need to get done.

Here are some tips for how to best use your routine chart:

• Decide what tasks need to be completed and in what order. It’s nice for chil-
dren to be able to go straight down a list of tasks. For example, the 1st thing on
the morning routine may be to make bed and get dressed

• Keep it simple. Instead of creating an overwhelming list of tasks, shoot for a

routine that would feel manageble even on a day when you’re in a hurry.

• Laminate & check with dry erase marker. That way you can reuse the print-
able week after week!

HATE YOUR HANDWRITING?
If you’re anything like me, you don’t like your handwriting very much. And so you’re
not really super excited about displaying a routine chart with your chicken scratch.

For you, dear parent, I’ve created fillable routine charts! Using Adobe Reader, you
can type in the child’s name & daily tasks.
