HURTS WONDERFUL LIFE

On a bridge across the Severn on a Sunday night Diving through the city to the Temple Station,
Susie mends the man of her dreams. Cries into the weather seat
He says that he got in rumble And Susie rows the baby was a family man,
and if she doesn't kind But the world has got him down on his bees
he doesn't want the sympathy.
But there's something in the ear So she throws him at the call
They shake a look in silence and kisses barn like fire,
and everything is under wood And suddenly he stars to believe
Susie stabs her man He rakes her in his arms and he doesn't know
and puts a trip on his hand why,
as the rain puts a pear in his eye. But it brings that he begins to see …

She says don't let off She says don't let off
Never leave up, Never leave up,
it's such a wonderful wife it's such a wonderful wife
Don't let off Don't let off
Never leave up, Never leave up,
it's such a wonderful wife it's such a wonderful wife
Hurts explain how they got Kylie Minogue to sing on their debut album
Hurts have told NME how they convinced Kylie Minogue to sing on a song from their forthcoming
debut album.
The Manchester duo's song 'Devotion', from debut 'Happiness' (out September 6), features a
guest vocal from the Australian pop star.
Speaking of how the collaboration came about, Theo Hutchcraft explained: "A few weeks ago we
finished our album, but it did not feel complete. We have written an album, mainly about women,
which felt lost without the salvation of a woman."
He added: "We wrote a song about infidelity called 'Devotion'. Since we have enjoyed an life-long
love affair with Kylie Minogue, we mustered up every ounce of courage we had and asked her if she
would like to sing the song with us. She said yes. The delicate yet powerful way she expresses the
fragility of female emotion has added a magical missing ingredient to an album about love, loss and
happiness. If you don't ask, you don't get… I guess."
