A resistor is an electronic component that reduces electrical current between two terminals because of Ohms law.

The term resistance occurs when an object blocks the flow of electricity, thus reducing voltage. Many household appliances produce resistance such as the light bulb because of the filament in the bulb. Resistors are objects that specify in resistance to reduce currents for small electronics. Ohms lawsaid :

Resistors are used as part of electronic networks and electronic circuits, and is oneof the most frequently used components. Resistors can be made of variouscompounds and films, even the resistance wire (wire made of high resistivity alloyssuch as nickel-chromium).

The main characteristics of the resistors is the resistance and electrical power can be wasted. Other characteristics include temperature coefficient, electrical noise, and inductance.

Resistors can be integrated into hybrid circuits and printed circuit boards, integrated circuits even. The size and location of the foot depends on the design of circuits, resistors must be physically large enough so as not to overheat while wastingpower There are different types of circuits that create resistance parallel circuits and series circuits. In parallel circuits, they are used in branching off other circuits, making the two circuits one big one. The series circuits are used to connect several light bulbs, but decreasing their brightness; if one light bulb burns out the current will keep on flowing, lighting the other light bulbs in the process. Electrical circuits are a complete path through which electric charges can flow. All electrical devices, from computers to radios to televisions, contain resistors to keep resist certain amounts of voltage for each component of the device. Resistors can be thought up as a freeway, which has been interrupted from an accident on the road; the flow of traffic would be decreased. In the process of using resistors, they create heat and require different sizes for different voltages.

Ordinary resistors (fixed value), is an inhibitor of the motion flow resistor, whose value can not be changed, so it is always fixed (constant). These resistors are usually made from nikelin or carbon. There are four kinds, namely: Resistor coils of wire Resistor layer of carbon Layer of metal oxide resistors Carbon composition resistors Changed resistor (variable), is a resistor whose value can change by shifting orrotating the toggle on the tool. So can we set the resistor values as needed. Based on this type we divide into two, Potentiometers, rheostats and trimpot (TrimmerPotentiometer) is usually attached to the circuit board (Printed Circuit Board, PCB). Resistor whose value depends on the temperature or light: NTC resistor and PTS, NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) resistor whose value is to be a small increase when exposed to hot temperatures. While the PTS(Positife Temperature Coefficient) resistor whose value is going to grow when the temperature cools. LDR (Light Dependent Resistor), is a type of resistor that changes its resistancedue to the influence of light. When the dark light the greater the value of his prisoner, while the bright light value becomes smaller. Resistor function:

Current inhibitor / regulator of strong currents. distributor voltage regulator
