FAQ Winter PEP (2025 POB)

1. What do Winter PEP comprise?

Winter PEP comprises a series of classes held during the winter season, designed to enhance
students' skills and readiness for placement activities.

2. Why are Winter PEP classes conducted?

Winter PEP classes are organized to offer additional training and support to students, with a
focus on improving their technical, communication, and aptitude skills, ultimately enhancing
their employability.

3. Who can participate in Winter PEP classes?

Winter PEP is open to all 2025 graduating students who have registered for placement, and
are meeting the eligibility criteria for PEP Input classes.

4. Can I attend Winter PEP if I register for placement now?


(IF OPPORTUNITY START DATE ON OR BEFORE 10TH JAN)

Yes, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria for Winter PEP, you can attend the classes,
with the opportunity starting on January 10th. For the same, you will have to visit the query
window of 33-204 and will have to fill a redressal form stating your concern. After due
verification from the team, if you meet the eligibility criteria, the classes shall be allotted.

5. Are Winter PEP classes mandatory?

Yes, Winter PEP classes are mandatory for all eligible students, and attendance will
contribute to the aggregate attendance of session 23242. Therefore, failing to attend the
classes if allotted shall impact the overall attendance of current semester i.e., 23242.

6. Do I need to be on campus for Winter PEP classes?

Every student needs to be report to the campus, as the placement session is also starting. For
classes scheduled between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, students are required to be present in their
respective classrooms according to the timetable. For classes extending beyond 5:00 PM,
student can attend the class from their respective location.
Note: Students will be called to campus for proctored tests, anytime during the period of
PEP.
7. Why was I chosen for Competitive Programming (CP) inputs in these classes?

Selection for CP inputs is based on performance in CP (selection test), AMCAT, COCUBES,


MERCER METTL, and other competitive programming platforms.

8. How will online classes be conducted?

All online classes will take place through the LPUMYCLASS portal (https://myclass.lpu.in/).

9. Where can I find more information about Winter PEP classes?

For any other information, which is not mentioned in FAQ document, students can contact
Career Counselling Cell (33-204), can refer to official announcements and messages on the
UMS, or can call at 01824-520140 (9 AM - 5 PM on all working days).

10. How can I request rectification of sectioning or technology change?

There is no provision for changing sections or technology inputs once assigned. However,
you can request to understand why you have allotted a specific technology or section by
filling out a redressal form at the query window of the career counselling cell of CSE at 33-
204.

11. Can I take exit from Winter PEP classes?


No, if you are registered for the placement services, exiting the Winter PEP classes is not
allowed.

12. I am registered for the placement services, but I have not gotten any PEP input.
Do I need to attend regular classes?
You are advised to report at query window of career counselling cell at 33-204 on immediate
basis to get the clarification.
