25. National Art convection got registration from students from all parts of the country, of which 60 are
interested in music, 84 are interested in dance and 108 students are interested in handicrafts. For optimum
culture exchange, organizers wishes to keep them in minimum numbers of groups such that each group consists
of students interested in the same art form and the number of students in each group is the same. Find the
number of students in each group. Find the number of group in each art form. How many rooms are required
if each group will be allotted a room.
26. Two rails are represented by the linear equations x + 2y = 4 and 2x + 4y = 12. Represents this
situation geometrically.
27. If sec θ + tan θ = p, obtain the values of sec θ , tan θ and sin θ in terms of p.

equal roots, then find the value of p and k.
32. The length of the hypotenuse of a right-angled triangle exceeds the length of the base by 2cm and exceeds
twice the length of the altitude by 1cm. Find the length of each side of the triangle.

33. Two pipes running together can fill a tank in 11 minutes. If one pipe takes 5 minutes more the other to fill

the tank, find the time in which each pipe would fill the tank separately.
34. A straight highway leads to the foot of the tower. A man standing at the top of the tower observes a car at an
angle of depression of 300, which is approaching the foot of the tower with uniform speed. 8 second later, the
angle of depression of the car is found to be 600. Find the time taken by the car to reach the foot of the tower
from this point.
Section E
35. Manpreet Kaur is the national record holder for women in the shot-put discipline. Her throw of 18.86m at
the Asian Grand Prix in 2017 is the biggest distance for an Indian female athlete.
Keeping her as role model , Sanjitha is determined to earn gold in Olympics one day. Initially her throw reaches
7.56m only. Being an athlete in school, she regularly practiced both in the morning and in the evening and was
able to improve the distance by 9cm every week.
During the special camp for 15 days, she started with 40 throws and every day kept increasing the number of
throws by 12 to achieve this remarkable progress.
(i) How many throws Sanjitha practiced on 11th day of the camp? (1)
(ii) What would be Sanjitha’s throw distance at the end of 6 months? (2)

36. A person is riding
