Do a Quick Recap Lang | Ano yung natutunan for Lesson 2

Question for the New Lesson: "What is your understanding about the 'appointed time'?"

The Perfect Timing | Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Explanation: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 tells us that there is a perfect time for everything in life. It emphasizes
that God has a plan for the timing of different activities under heaven. Each verse highlights that certain
things happen at specific times, showing that there is a divine order to our experiences. This passage
suggests that God has a plan for when events occur in our lives. It encourages us to recognize and
respect the timing of various activities, reminding us of the wisdom in following God's appointed times
as we go through different seasons in life.

 We must make use of our time wisely. | When our time here on earth lapses, it is as if we hear our Lord say,
“Time is up. Finished or not finished, pass your paper.” We must be ready to present our life’s report card to the
Lord. We are created to love and serve the Lord; hence, our present life must be a life well spent for the Lord.

Purpose of Life | We are created to love and serve the Lord.

3 Imminent Occurrences on the End of the World

1. Resurrection of the Body and Renewal of the Universe:

This refers to the belief that, at the end of the world, there will be a resurrection of the dead. Those who
have passed away will be raised from the dead, and their bodies will be transformed into an eternal and
glorified state. Simultaneously, the entire universe will undergo a renewal or transformation, signifying
the completion of God's redemptive plan.

2. Second Coming of Christ (Parousia):

The second coming of Christ, also known as Parousia, is a central concept in Christian eschatology. It is
the anticipated return of Jesus Christ to Earth. According to Christian belief, Christ will come again in
glory to judge the living and the dead. This event is often associated with the fulfillment of prophecies
and the establishment of God's kingdom on earth.

3. Last Judgment:
The Last Judgment is the divine evaluation of every individual's actions and the determination of their
eternal destiny. It is believed that, at the end of the world, God will judge all human beings based on
their deeds, faith, and relationship with Him. Those who are righteous will be rewarded with eternal life,
while those who have rejected God's grace and lived in disobedience will face eternal separation from
God.

Explanation: These three imminent occurrences—resurrection of the body and renewal of the universe,
second coming of Christ (Parousia), and last judgment—are significant events in Christian doctrine. They
represent the culmination of God's plan for humanity, signaling the ultimate fulfillment of divine
promises and the establishment of the eternal order. Believers are encouraged to anticipate these
events with hope and readiness.

End of the World

"End-time" or "Last Day" refers to the culmination of human history, as foretold in religious scriptures,
marking the conclusion of earthly existence and the beginning of a new, eternal era. It signifies a point in
time when God's ultimate plan unfolds, bringing about the fulfillment of prophecies and the realization
of divine purposes.

Explanation: "At the 'end-time' or 'Last Day,' believers expect a crucial moment when the Kingdom of
God is fully established. This marks the completion of God's plan to redeem humanity, creating a state of
everlasting peace, goodness, and divine order. Believers are encouraged to look forward to this event
with hope and get ready for the fulfillment of God's promises."
How the World Will End | Matthew 24:29-30
"Immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its
light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. Then will appear the sign of
the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of
Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory."

Explanation of the Signs

1. Darkening of the Sun and Moon
The text describes a cosmic disturbance where the sun will be darkened, and the moon won't provide its
usual light. This imagery symbolizes a significant disruption in the natural order.

2. Falling Stars and Shaking Heavenly Bodies

The mention of stars falling from the sky and the shaking of heavenly bodies signifies celestial
phenomena and upheaval. These events are described as signs that go beyond ordinary occurrences.

3. Appearance of the Son of Man

The key event in this passage is the appearance of the Son of Man in heaven. This refers to the second
coming of Jesus Christ, as foretold in Christian eschatology. The Son of Man is described as coming on
the clouds with power and great glory.

4. Mourning of All Peoples

The passage concludes with the anticipation that all the peoples will mourn when they witness the Son
of Man coming. This suggests a moment and the realization of divine judgment.

When Will the World End? | Luke 21:25-27

"And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth distress of nations in perplexity
at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming
on the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of man
coming in a cloud with power and great glory."
