Question for the New Lesson: "What is your understanding about the 'appointed time'?"
We must make use of our time wisely. | When our time here on earth lapses, it is as if we hear our Lord say,
“Time is up. Finished or not finished, pass your paper.” We must be ready to present our life’s report card to the
Lord. We are created to love and serve the Lord; hence, our present life must be a life well spent for the Lord.
3. Last Judgment:
The Last Judgment is the divine evaluation of every individual's actions and the determination of their
eternal destiny. It is believed that, at the end of the world, God will judge all human beings based on
their deeds, faith, and relationship with Him. Those who are righteous will be rewarded with eternal life,
while those who have rejected God's grace and lived in disobedience will face eternal separation from
God.
Explanation: These three imminent occurrences—resurrection of the body and renewal of the universe,
second coming of Christ (Parousia), and last judgment—are significant events in Christian doctrine. They
represent the culmination of God's plan for humanity, signaling the ultimate fulfillment of divine
promises and the establishment of the eternal order. Believers are encouraged to anticipate these
events with hope and readiness.
Explanation: "At the 'end-time' or 'Last Day,' believers expect a crucial moment when the Kingdom of
God is fully established. This marks the completion of God's plan to redeem humanity, creating a state of
everlasting peace, goodness, and divine order. Believers are encouraged to look forward to this event
with hope and get ready for the fulfillment of God's promises."
How the World Will End | Matthew 24:29-30
"Immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its
light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. Then will appear the sign of
the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of
Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory."
Earthly Distress: There will be distress among nations on Earth, causing perplexity. This could be
interpreted as geopolitical upheavals and global unrest.
Natural Catastrophes: The roaring of the sea and the waves suggests natural calamities and disasters,
creating fear and foreboding among people.
Shaking of the Heavens: The powers of the heavens will be shaken, indicating a profound and
supernatural transformation.
The Glorious Return: The Son of Man will be seen coming in a cloud with power and great glory,
signifying the imminent second coming of Christ.
Note: Luke 21:25-27 highlights the signs that will precede the end of the world and the second coming
of Christ. While the exact timing remains unknown, these signs serve as a reminder for believers to stay
vigilant, prepare for the future, and be spiritually ready for the fulfillment of God's plan.
Vigilance:
Be watchful and attentive to the signs and teachings regarding the end times.
Stay spiritually alert and discern the unfolding events in the world.
Preparedness:
Cultivate a life of righteousness and faithfulness to God's commandments.
Regularly reflect on one's relationship with God and seek spiritual growth.
Constant Readiness:
Understand that the end of the world may come at any time, and thus, be prepared in both heart and
mind. Live each day with a sense of purpose and devotion to God.
Luke 12:35-36 | "Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, like servants waiting for
their master to return."
Explanation: "The call to vigilance and preparedness is not meant to instill fear but to inspire hope and a
purposeful life. By staying watchful and ready, we align ourselves with God's plan and find assurance in
His promises."
