INTRODUCTION TO DATA PROCESSING

COURSE OVERVIEW
This course aims to provide experience in computer applications, current uses of technology and
its future directions. The course combines textbook fundamentals with hands-on experience to
better point out the capabilities and limitations of information systems.

COURSE MATERIALS
 Exercises and updates to be distributed through CIMS.

GRADING POLICY
Attendance & Class Participation 20%
Quiz / Project Grade Average 40%
Final Exam 30%
Instructors’ Discretion 10%

REQUIREMENTS
1) Students are required to attend all classes

2) You are required to check your e-mail and the CIMS system on a regular basis during the
semester. Announcements regarding class materials, projects, homeworks and class
meetings will be sent through e-mail or CIMS

3) Exercises are to be attempted before the date they are assigned on the syllabus. If you are
not able to complete the exercise, you are allowed to ask questions on the date that the
exercise has been assigned. You will be responsible for the material on the quiz of the
following week.
