CV Gloria Damijan

Gloria Damijan is a pianist, Toy-Piano player, composer, and sound artist born and based
in Vienna. She studied piano and music pedagogy at Music University Vienna. There she
first encountered contemporary music and free improvisation.

-Workshops with with Manon-Lìu Winter, Burkhard Stangl, Franz Hautzinger and Ian Pace
-Since 2003 active in the Viennese Free Improvisation-scene with the ctrl (together with:
Meike Melinz, Gabi Teufner- flutes, Bernhard Schöberl - guitar, Bernd Klug – double bass)
and lsd (together with: Daniel Lercher – electronics, Bernhard Schöberl – guitar)
-Cooperations with Stefan Fraunberger, Vinzenz Schwab, Klaus Filip, Arnold 'Noid' Haberl,
Christine Schörkhuber, Ye Hui.
-Premiering pieces of Tamara Friebel, Margareta Ferek-Petric, Veronika Mayer, Matthias
Kranebitter, Onur Dülger
- International cooperation-projects such as the Improvisation-Orchestra ÖNCZskequist,
fesch (together with the Norwegian drummer Dyre Körssjoen), the Portuguese musicians
Paulo Chagas, Luís Vicente, Ernesto and Guilherme Rodrigues, the Brazilian composer
and sound artist Marco Scarassatti. International project Rumor together with Abdul
Moimême (electronics, Portugal), Eduardo Chagas (trombone, Portugal) and Marco
Scarassatti (Kraiser, sound sculptures).
-Since 2020 specialization in telematic and hybrid performance formats. Member of the
audiovisual Ensemble Dilate Ensemble (Carole Kim - visuals, Jon Raskin - trombone,
concertina, objects/ Luisa Muhr – voice/ Scott L. Miller - electronics, Kyma) and the
NowNetArt network’s Hub-Ensemble.
