1. Why some deaf people can speak while others can't?

A Some deaf people can talk as they are brought up in oralism school and they
also went through speech therapy with family support so that is why they are
able to speak whereas some deaf people would have oral ability but they
would have gone to a deaf school where the culture is sign language.
Everyone communicates through sign language so they are not involved in
any oral activity and that is why some deaf people can speak and some can’t.

2. Do you think some problems are faced by children with hearing impairment
at their school? Why do you think so?
A Yes I think so as deaf kids can’t hear anyone so they might get bullied due to
their disability. They might also not be able to catch up with learning
everything that normal kids may learn instantly and so due to some of these
reasons I believe that children with hearing impairment have many problems

3. Who is an interpreter? Why is their role important?

A Interpreter is a person who translates out sign language. Their role is

important as they help in translating deaf people’s thoughts to the public.
They are also needed during examinations in deaf schools to translate them
out. One interpreter I got to know through this episode was Mr.Joseph. He
helped us understand Mrs. Vidya’s thoughts and we got to know so much
about deaf people.
