3) Weather is the state of the atmosphere, and because it impacts human lives by much since ancient times,

we have developed various types of technology and skills, that would help us to predict it.

4) High-pressure systems are rotating masses of cool and dry air. They keep moisture from rising into the
atmosphere and forming clouds because air is forced downwards, into the surface of earth, they are usually
associated with clear skies. When a cold air mass takes the place of a warm air mass, the boundary between
them is called a cold front.

5) On the other hand, low-pressure systems are exact opposite. They are rotating masses of warm, moist air,
usually bringing storms and high winds, because air there is being dragged upwards.

6) Air masses are large regions of the lower atmosphere with uniform characteristics. They are identified by
temperature (that can be polar or tropical) and the nature of the source area, or in the other words where it
originated (that may be continental or maritime).

8) Frontal systems form along the boundaries between colliding air masses of contrasting properties. Heavy
rainfall, decreasing temperatures, decreasing humidity, and changing wind directions are associated with
passage of a cold front.
Again warm front is the opposite, light to moderate rain, warmer temperatures, increasing humidity, and
changing wind directions follow passage of a warm front.
An occluded front forms when a cold front overtakes a warm front.

9) A cold front occurs when a mass of comparatively colder air moves into where warmer air is present. The
drier, colder air forms a steeply boundary under the warmer, moister air and lifts it. This often causes cloud
formations with strong vertical development, which may manifest as a line
of showers and thunderstorms when enough moisture is present.

10) Air masses are large bodies of air with similar properties of temperature and humidity that form over
source regions. The warm air mass behind a warm front is not only warmer, but often also higher in humidity
than the colder air preceding it. Warm aim mass has higher temperature and thus lesser density. Being light,
the warm air mass is unable to displace the cooler air mass and instead is forced upward along the upper
boundary of the colder air in a process known as overrunning.

11) The point where the warm front becomes the occluded front is called the triple point and it becomesd a
low-pressure.

15) Depending on its location and strength, a tropical cyclone is referred to by different names,
including hurricane, typhoon, tropical storm, cyclonic storm, tropical depression, or simply cyclone. They
grow from tropical storms generated by disturbances in the belt of equatorial trade winds.
