My dear students as you are aware that generally a main verb has 3 basic forms :

Such as follows : verb ‘Go’

Present /V1 Past/V2 Past Participle/V3


Go Went Gone

In the same way Verb “BE” has also 3 forms such as :

Present /V-1 Past/V-2 Past Participle/V-3


Is/am/are Was/were Been
Now, Think what about ‘Future??

Simple just .. Put ‘be’ with will/shall (means: Shall be / will be as per subject of the sentence)

Now, pick out five sentences from the taught stories with this form of verb’ be’ (containing
is/am/are or was/were as main verbs). Sentences for each category.

M.Hamel had said that he would question us on participles.


Ist part

In the sentence above the verb form “had said” in the first part is used to indicate an “earlier
past” (past perfect.)The whole story ‘The last lesson’ is narrated in the past. M.Hamel “saying”
happened earlier than the events in this story. This form of the verb is called the past perfect.
Now pick out five sentencs from the taught story(‘ The last lesson’ ) with this form of verb and
5 sentences for simple past(past indefinite: subject+V2+object+etc).

3. Pick out 5 sentences from each chapter showing the different tenses.

themes and summaries with other students.
Read any English news paper daily and pick out important articles related to Education, saving
water, environment and energy, importance of cleanliness and other educational articles for

Speaking :- Debate :- Online Education is good for students in the present scenario.
You may record your arguments for or against the motion and may keep it for presentation once
the school reopens.
