Imam Abu Hanifa RA said:
" And we do not disown any of
the companions of the
Messenger (saw) nor do we have
allegiance to one of them at the
expense of others."

Imam Abu Hanifa RA said:
"And we do not mention any
of the companions of the
Messenger (saw) except in
good manner.
Imam Abu Hanifa RA said:
"And we refrain from mentioning

any of the companions of the
Messenger (saw) except in favorable
way."

Some Companions of the Prophet ‫ﷺ‬ A man used to nd faults in the companions of the Messenger
(saw), so Imam Malik RA recited the ayat: "The disbelievers
will be enraged at the companions." (Surah fath: 29). So Imam

Malik said "This verse apply to anyone who possess any

Imam Ahmed Ibn Hanbal RA said: " It is not permissible
for anyone to mention any of the faults nor speak ill of any
companions, blaming them for de ciencies and
shortcomings." (Kitab as sunnah pg 77-78)
Imam Ahl Us Sunnah Ahmad Ibn Hanbal RA, he said: "And
from the Sunnah is mentioning the good qualities of the Companions
of Allaah's Messenger - all of them - and to refrain from (speaking
about) what disputes occurred between them. So whoever reviles the
Companions of Allaah's Messenger or (just) one of them, then he is
an innovator, a Raa dee. Loving them is a Sunnah and making du'aa
(supplication) for them is a means of getting close to Allaah
(taqarrub). Following them is a means and taking from their example
is a virtue..."
Ibn Taymmiyah RA said " Ahl us sunnah do not
curse the Sahaba or DO THEY FEEL ANIMUS
AND MALICE towards them or TALK
CONTEMPTUOUSLY ABOUT THEM.

He also said: "If you see anyone speaking ill of the companions ( Aqeedat ul wasitiyah)

2. Ibn Masud (RA) related that Prophet ‫ﷺ‬ of the Messenger (saw) doubt his Islam." (As sunnah no 2359)

The Prophet said, "The best people are those living in my generation, and then those who wi fo ow them, and then
those who wi fo ow the latter.

It is essential to understand that the Sahaabah were not infallible. This is the
view of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l- Jamaa’ah. Rather they were human beings like any
others. Whatever sins or mistakes any of them may have made maybe overlooked in
comparison to the honour of accompanying the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah

believe that anyone is infallible or that anyone is protected from making mistakes

Afraah)
Those are the ones from whom We will accept the best of what they did and overlook
their misdeeds, [their being] among the companions of Paradise. [That is] the
promise of truth which they had been promised.

The virtue of any deeds is to be judged by the results and consequences.
