Link Aadhaar to PAN User Manual

Step-by-step guide
There are two main steps for Linking Aadhaar with PAN.

Step 01

Pay the fee on the e-Filing Portal using e-Pay Tax service through
Kotak Net Banking or Kotak Payment Gateway.

Step 02

Submit the Aadhaar – PAN link request on e-Filing Portal after you have
made the payment through e-Pay Service.

Note:
Use e-Pay Tax service for payment of fee through Kotak Net Banking or
Kotak Payment Gateway using any Bank Account.
Step 1: Please follow the below mentioned steps to pay
the Aadhaar-Pan linking fee.

Step 1(a):

Visit e-Filing Portal Home page and click on Link Aadhaar in the
Quick Links section.

Step 1(b):
Enter your PAN and Aadhaar Number.
 Step 1(c):

Click on Continue To Pay Through E-Pay Tax.

Step 1(d):

Enter your PAN, then confirm PAN, and enter Mobile number
to receive OTP.
 Step 1(e):

Post OTP verification, you will be redirected to e-Pay Tax page.

Step 1(f):
Click on Proceed on the Income Tax Tile.
 Step 1(g):

Select ‘AY’ (2023-24) and Type of Payment as Other Receipts (500)

and Continue.

Step 1(h):
Applicable amount will be pre-filled against Others, click Continue.
 Step 1(i):

Select Kotak Net Banking or Payment Gateway for paying the fees.

Step 1(j):
After you complete the payment process, Download the Challan
for your reference.
 Step 2: Submit the Aadhaar PAN Link request on
e-Filing Portal, after the payment is made through
e-Pay Tax service.

Note: Aadhaar PAN link request can be made both in the Post login as well as
Pre-login mode.

Linking PAN and Aadhaar Post login

Step 2(a):

Go to e-Filing Portal > Login > on the Dashboard, in Profile Section

under the Link Aadhaar to PAN option, click Link Aadhaar.

Step 2(b):
Enter the Aadhaar Number and click on Validate.

Step 2(a):

Go to e-Filing Portal Home Page and click on Link Aadhaar under

Quick links.

Step 2(b):
Enter the PAN and Aadhaar and click on Validate.
 Step 2(c):

Enter the mandatory details as required and click on Link Aadhaar.

Step 2(d):
Enter the 6-digit OTP received on the mobile no. mentioned in the
previous step and click on Validate.
 Step 2(e):

Enter the mandatory details as required and click on Link Aadhaar.
