CMG(Computer Modelling Group Ltd.) is a computer Software engineering and consulting firm engaged in the development, sale and technology transfer of reservoir simulation software. CMG Began as a company known for its expertise in heavy oil, but now our most widely used product is IMEX, our black oil simulator. Over the past twenty years, CMG has remained focused on the development and delivery of reservoir simulation technologies that assist oil and gas companies to determine reservoir capacities and maximize potential recovery. This end, we are continually improving our marketleading line of reservoir simulation technologies to better reflect the changing needs of our users. CMG is a world-class software company traded on the TSX Stock Exchange under the symbol CMG. With more than 1,500 users at 180 oil and gas companies and consulting firms in over 35 different countries, CMG is one of the largest providers of reservoir simulation software in the world.

CMG is now the worlds largest independent reservoir simulation vendor. We are proud of our history as a research organization. Today we are building on that solid foundation to be a dynamic software vendor offering the most modern reservoir simulation modelling products available. Initially a small research company in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, we now have offices in 5 countries around the world. Today there are over 1500 copies of our software in useworldwide and we provide hundreds of consulting solutions each year.

From the start, CMG has been designing its simulation software products around Windows 2000, XP and XP 64 bit which helps to protect your software investment, increase your efficiency, and keep you up-to-date in the technology game. Traditionally, reservoir simulation has been a highly specialized field, requiring specially trained engineers, and costly computer hardware. CMG is changing all that with our Practical Solutions approach to reservoir modelling. For example, instead of the cumbersome keywords used to define traditional simulation models, our products enable you to design reservoir models quickly and efficiently by linking directly to commonly-used mapping and geological modelling packages.

Practical Solutions means solutions to real problems, such as linking field models to gas deliverability forecasts, predicting conditions under which wax or asphaltene dropout is likely to become a problem, and when sand production will occur.
