Syllabus in Methods of Research

Course Description
The course deals with the study of the basic concepts and principles in methods
of research, as well as with the many important skills in the use of various techniques
and procedures in thesis writing. Thus, the information gained from the study and/or
discussion will help students to effectively write a research proposal and conduct basic
studies.

Course Objective
At the end of the semester’s work the students are expected to:
1. Discuss the nature, scope and role of research training in graduate education.
2. Guide graduate students in identifying areas and topics for research.
3. Explain and indicate what really theoretical/conceptual framework is and the
style in presenting it.
4. List and summarize the concepts of each chapter of a research proposal or
thesis.
5. Present a research proposal.
