Dear Bishop _________________,

We, in the stake presidency, are thankful for the support you have shown us during our
Blood Drive in March. Once again, we seek for your assistance in making our upcoming
blood drive a successful one.

The COVID19 pandemic has further increased our need for blood in order to secure
sufficient and safe blood supply in the blood bank for our stake and our community.
Hence, the Stake Presidency is once again asking for your support and participation in
our upcoming BLOOD DRIVE ACTIVITY on September 25, 2021 at Aurora
Chapel.

The said bloodletting activity will be done through our Stake Communication
Coordinating Council and the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI).

We request that your ward provide at least 15 eligible donors. In order to increase the
number of our qualified donors, kindly disseminate well, through your ward Public
Affairs Representative, the requirements to be eligible to donate, to wit:

 18 -65 years old

 Weigh at least 110 lbs/50 kgs
 Blood pressure is 90 to 140 systolic or 60 to 90 diastolic
 No surgical procedure done within a year
 No alcohol intake for 24 hours
 No smoking 4 hours before donation
 Negative for sexually transmitted disease
 At least 5 hours of sleep before donation

Even vaccinated individuals are qualified to donate blood 28 days from vaccination of
either first or second dose.

We would like to remind you that our Church has set some health and safety guidelines to
warrant that the said activity shall strictly observe protocols and the minimum public
health standards mandated by the government, particularly the social distancing measures
and non-pharmaceutical interventions such as the obligatory wearing of face masks and
face shield in the Church premises.

We also would like to encourage your ward to hold an activity that will promote the
blood drive and eventually increase the number of our eligible donors. The activity could
be in a form of training or seminar to inform the members of the preparations needed to
donate blood and the benefits derived from doing so.
We, in the Stake Presidency, would like to thank you for your unrelenting support and we
know you are with us in our efforts to follow the example our Savior Jesus Christ of love
and charity. We think you will agree that this bloodletting activity is a wonderful
manifestation of love and charity and a perfect opportunity of community service for all
of us. Hence, we ask for your full support.
