reflected in its progressive design. From its powerful
proportions to the dynamic front section with precise
lines to the pronounced shoulders, the vehicle’s
expressive silhouette focuses the eye on its strengths:

Intelligent light
The Tiguan is fully resplendent. This is not least
ensured by the LED matrix headlights, Optional for 1.4
Life, 1.4 Elegance & 2.0 Life. Standard on the 2.0
Elegance and 2.0 R-Line. They feature cornering lights
as well as a dynamic high beam control for Elegance
and R-Line packages: depending on the situation on
the road, individual LED segments for light distribution
are switched on or off selectively. This not only allows
you to have relaxed car journeys, but also everyone
driving in front of you or coming towards you.

Innovative interior
The Tiguan’s spacious interior is a place for forward
thinkers: thanks to the intuitive controls of the driver-
oriented cockpit, you can now concentrate entirely
on the essentials. This is ensured by the standard
multifunction steering wheel in leather and the
touch-sensitive ‘Air Care Climatronic’ 3-zone
electronic air conditioning, for instance. Or the Digital
Cockpit Pro with its 10.25-inch TFT colour screen
which comes standard for Elegance and R-Line, and
optional for Life. An optional 480W sound system by
audio specialist Harman/Kardon ensures exceptional
acoustics, while LED ambient lighting with a choice
of 30 different colours, lets you create just the right
mood for the occasion.

Driver's assistance systems
The Tiguan comes with a wealth of intelligent driver assistance systems
designed to make driving as easy and safe as possible. Whether you are
travelling on motorways or country roads, the latest technology keeps a
constant eye on the road and your surroundings, monitoring the situation
and reacting accordingly when necessary.

 01 The 'ACC' adaptive cruise control adapts the vehicle’s speed to that of the
vehicle driving ahead up to the maximum speed selected, and maintains the
distance set by the driver.

02 The Front Assist monitoring system combines Predictive Pedestrian Protection

with City Emergency Braking, alerting you if it detects vehicles or pedestrians at
the edge of the road or on the carriageway, via acoustic and optical signals, as well
as a gentle application of the brakes. The system even performs an emergency
stop should the distance become critical, helping to protect other road users and
03 possibly avert potential accidents.

03 It doesn’t just catch the eye, it also has its eye on everything: the Area View
360° display in the Tiguan streams up to twelve possible views of the vehicle
(within each camera’s range) live into the cockpit. This provides perfect support for
the driver in almost every driving situation.

04 The Park Assist with rear view camera not only makes parallel parking easier,
but also helps you reverse park into a space at 90 degrees to the kerb. Using
ultrasonic sensors, Park Assist will detect a parking space large enough for either
bay or parallel parking. Once the vehicle is in reverse, all the driver has to do is
operate the accelerator and brake, and keep a look out, while the Tiguan steers
04 itself into its chosen space. The rear view camera displays the area behind your
vehicle on the screen of the vehicle’s infotainment system, helping you to
manoeuvre into tight spaces quickly and easily. Auxiliary lines help you navigate
safely into parking spaces, and thanks to the high resolution display, even small
obstacles such as kerbs are visible.

05 Travel Assist combines the Adaptive Cruise Control system (ACC) and the Lane
Assist system to keep you in your lane, maintain a minimum distance to the vehicle
in front of you, and prevent you from exceeding your pre-set top speed. Working
together with a navigation system, Travel Assist is being extended by predictive
cruise control and an assistant that allows the vehicle to react to bends. In
conjunction with the Dual Clutch Gearbox (DSG), you can remain relaxed too while

driving in traffic jams and in stop-and-go traffic. Emergency Assist is designed to
take over control of the vehicle if the driver is unable to do so.

and connectivity

of technologies and systems that
allow you to adjust the vehicle
perfectly in line with your needs.
Once you've taken your seat, you will
find everything within reach.
01 Keep an eye on everything – without ever having to look away from the road.
Just the touch of a button is all it takes to raise the Head-up Display out of the dash
panel, and display all key information such as speed, navigation data and traffic signs
safely and comfortably in the driver’s direct field of vision.

02 Whether you want to check the rev counter, speedometer, mileage recorder or your
route: thanks to the high-resolution Digital Cockpit Pro which measures 10.25 inches
across the diagonal, you can display a range of handy information in whatever
arrangement you’d like, putting the focus on your favourite functions. For example,
selecting navigation mode will move the speedometer and rev counter to the edge
of the screen, making more space for the map display.

03 Depending on which smartphone you have, you can connect App-Connect via one of
two interfaces: Apple ‘CarPlay’ and Google ‘Android Auto’, allowing your smartphone
display to be ‘mirrored’ on the infotainment touchscreen, and giving access to your 02
favourite smartphone functions.

04 The “Discover Pro” radio navigation system can be operated via its 9.2-inch TFT
touchscreen with colour display, proximity sensor, and gesture control. Its fascinating
display options, and customised management of music and navigation data will inspire
you, just like the eight loudspeakers and the hard drive. What’s more, it is also equipped
with a voice control system and a Bluetooth interface for mobile telephones, as well as a
USB connection.

Black Style Package
Exceptional style is literally written all over the face of
the Tiguan R-Line with the optional Black Style exterior
design package. The radiator grille with the elegant
R-Line logo comes in two colours: while the outer strips
are finished in chrome, the two inner strips are in high-
gloss black. The black mirror caps and window surrounds
along with the darkened rear and rear side windows also
demonstrate class without revealing too much. This is
matched by the glossy black trapezoidal trim elements
and the 19-inch Valencia alloy wheels in black. You also
have the option of 20-inch Suzuka alloy wheels in black.
