1. Load DAF file to SIPROTEC 5 device to increase the number of function points.
3. Load DIGSI 5 configuration files (TCF format from DIGSI 5 V9.20 and higher, both
signed or unsigned) to multiple devices in parallel (up to 50).
SIPROTEC Tools is delivered as bundle in a ZIP folder. To launch the application, navigate
to SIPROTEC Tools folder and run the SIPROTECTools.exe shown in the screenshot below:

Network-adaptor name: SIPROTEC5 devices connected via USB
Address band: 192.168.2.*
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
These address bands must not be used by another active network adaptor.
Proxy Settings
If you use a proxy, make sure that the IP-address bands named before are defined as
exceptions in the proxy settings.
In any case, make sure that the proxy settings match your network configuration. Contact
your network administrator for further assistance.
Certificate Environment
To sign TCF configuration files with SIPROTEC Tools, certificates need to meet following
criteria :
A valid expiration date
A Digital Signature, as described as Key Usage
Available Private Key

Situation Downloaded COMFEDE files can be opened in Internet Explorer but not in
Chrome or Edge.
Solution Open the COMFEDE files in a web browser supporting XSLT processing (e.g.
Internet Explorer)
or check with your security department, if you can add in Chrome the option
“--allow-file-access-from-files" as target of the shortcut properties
Situation Not able to connect to devices via USB after uninstalling DIGSI 5.
Limitation with devices with DIGSI 5 Client authentication with custom certificates.
Solution Deactivate RBAC from configuration for loading the first test configuration by
the panel builder
