LFD: ROTATION 1
Last week in our RLE subject, I learned several things throughout the
collaborative and individual activities that we had. Our clinical instructors
dictate and explain the activities that we needed to do in two days of our RLE
subject. It was fun and stressful at the same time because we had trouble
finding the pieces of information we needed but we still managed and finished
all the activities well. Also, I am grateful that we gained some knowledge
regarding some topics in the activities we have done. Hence, the first activity
that we had which is a collaborative activity was researching about latest
incidence rate of maternal and child health morbidity and mortality at
international, national, and local. As we gather some information and data that
we need, the latest that we have researched is that causes and deaths of both
maternal and child decreased in the year 2020 compared to previous years.
Therefore, it just means that slowing and preventing the causes and deaths in
maternal and child health has been better in the year 2020 international,
national, and local.
The next activity that we did was making a picture collage about theories
related to maternal and child health nursing. Those theories are: Bonding and
Attachment Theory, Maternal Role Attachment Theory, Synactive Theory of
Infant Development, Universe of Developmental Care Model, Mother, and
child Integrative Development, and Care Model Barnard’s Parent, Among
those theories, the one given to us was Bonding and Attachment Theory. I
learned here what can happen in bonding between parent and child and it has
positive and negative aspects. On the positive side, the whole family can have
good bonding, and communication and they will have a good foundation in
their family. On the other hand, the negative thing when there are boundaries
between parent and child bonding is that it can lead to misunderstanding
between parent and child and also a detachment of the child from the parent.
