NEVER FOLD AN AIRTIGHT ZIPPER SHARPLY: Avoid sharply folding the airtight
zipper as it can permanently damage the seal. When packing your bag, roll the
zipper at a diameter in a rolling location of no less than about 3”–4” (7.5–10 cm).
AVOID OVERSTRETCHING: Refrain from pulling two sides of a zipper apart or
bending it sharply.
ALWAYS MOVE THE SLIDER IN AN ALMOST PARALLEL DIRECTION: When
operating the zipper, move the slider almost parallel along the rack rail. If pulled
at an angle, there is a chance that the airtight property of the zipper will be
reduced.
OPERATE THE SLIDER SLOWLY: Exercise caution when opening/closing the
zipper, moving the slider slowly to maintain optimal functionality.
AVOID VIOLENT PULLING OF OBSTRUCTIONS: If cloth, thread, or any other
object becomes entangled in the zipper, do not pull the obstruction violently.
Gently zip the slider back, work the problematic thread or cloth away, then zip it
back up.
Usage Instructions:
Pouches not completely airtight: If you find a pouch is not completely airtight, it is likely
because the top stop part of the zipper and slider needs lubrication with silicon grease
(clear lip balm works great as well). Pull the slider for about 2” (5 cm) and apply a small
amount of lubricant to the open area. Then, close the zipper completely and open it
again a couple of times. Lubricating the slider will help prevent air leakage.
Which Giga pump adapters are compatible with 4D pouches? You can utilize 4 out of
the 5 adapters that come with the pump, but for the most straightforward operation,
there are two recommended options: one with threads and another short one with a ¾”
(18 mm) outer diameter. The latter is the most compatible and easiest for deflating the
pouches.
