It talks about the importance of game in learning school stuff (and not only).
Infact using a simple superficial reward as an introduction to the system is one
way to implement gamification. It’s a very good article because they also made
some students do a questionnaire survey about the influence of gamification on
students’ enjoyment.

I found the article “Understanding The Real Power Of Gamification” on
www.forbes.com
The gamification programs are new but reading this article we can understand how
they can improve both productivity and retention of warehouse workers. Karl Kapp, a
professor of instructional technology at Bloomsburg University, told that “Gamification
uses game-based mechanics, aesthetics and game-thinking to engage people, motivate
action, promote learning and solve problems.” His thesis is that gamification is “based
on sound, evidence-based motivational principles that have been shown time and time
again to result in higher employee satisfaction and increase overall performance.”

I found the article “Gamification in Movies and TV” on
www.gamify.com
This article shows us some uses of gamification in film, series or tv
programs. For example in “YOU VS WILD”, by directly involving the
audience, Grylls has tapped into a form of gamification - combining
entertainment, education, engagement, and reward.

I created a word grid with the months of the year. It’s a very easy
game for those who are in college, but it could be useful for kids that
are learning for the first time the months of the year.

Learning through playing is a very useful technique. It allows
you to better improve your skills without the fear of failing or
making a mistake. Learning is not frustrating and boring
anymore, it’s fun and interesting and curious. Learning through
playing fosters creativity and imagination.
I personally learn english everyday, by watching movies and tv
series, by listening music, etc. I try to improve my english
everyday, by speaking it, writing it and listening it. Besides the
fact that I study the english language, I also practice it much by
working with native speakers, and that is helping me very
much.
During the course I might say that I’ve made a significant
progress in my problem area of explaining technical concepts
in detail in english. I've also made a lot of progress on
paraphrasing to explain a word. And by the way speaking in
front of an audience is not a problem anymore.
