Question 1

Social class denotes the grouping of people in a hierarchical structure based on social

factors, including race, wealth, income, education, and other factors like occupation. The

development of the self may be influenced by social class, ethnicity and race, and other social

elements in the same way that we cannot know who we are without considering these factors.

People employ their sophisticated, well-developed cognition to strive to see themselves

favorably. We can see how input from others may change our confidence and personality. The

social factors that surround us have a profound impact on our emotional and intellectual

components (Giddens, 2020).. We also look at how our social background affects how we view

ourselves. Isolation will not be produced by the self-development of ethnicity/race,

socioeconomic class, sexuality, and other social characteristics. For instance, many people can't

think of themselves because they can't embrace their race.

Additionally, gender is important in the process of building one's own identity. For

example, in some societies, particular jobs are performed by either women or men. We base our

personality and sense of self on these cultural norms.

Question 2

Children can engage with one another thanks to the process of social development. The

readjustment, contact, and adaptation of groups and individuals and the development of bonds

and behavioral patterns later modified through socialization are all parts of the social process.

This influence impacts the way one's identity evolves in social interactions. We now perceive

ourselves differently as a result of societal dynamics. Many kids feel undeserving or inadequate
because of how others perceive them based on their race, appearance, and ethnicity (Giddens,

2020)..

Additionally, by allowing us to see ourselves from the perspective of others, the social

process helps us slowly get to know who we are and how we fit into our surrounding society.

Additionally, we must be aware of the fundamentals of symbolic and material culture to function

well in the community. This includes knowing when to go to bed, what foods are considered

okay to eat, how to prepare them, how to dress, what to wear to a special event, and when to

wake up daily. Nevertheless, as we grow older and become more aware of our individuality

within our societies, we develop communication skills and an understanding of others' actions.

This significantly contributes to ensuring that our society has beneficial connections and that

many group activities, including community projects, call for active partnerships.

Question 3

Identity refers to a person's social "face," which is their idea of "what I do and who I am."

Identity is the umbrella term for a person's characteristics, beliefs, personality, outward

appearance, and feelings that make them who they are. It is imperative to gain access to the

social contacts that influence one's self-identity (Giddens, 2020).. One can carry themselves at

their best during social interactions if one develops a face or character in the middle of society

through the social process. However, when dealing with others, the context in which one's

actions occur tremendously influences how one behaves. It suggests that depending on the

context in which we come into contact with things, ideas, attitudes, and nonverbal cues, our

perspective of them may change.
