Let the pupils read the sentences and ask:
What punctuation mark do you see at the end of a sentence?
What kind of sentences are those?

C. 1. Motivation:
Ask: Do you have a Facebook account? In facebook, if you like the photos or
posts of your friends, what emoticons do you click?
Show a GIF picture of different emoticons. When do we use these? Why do we
use emoticons when we post or when reacting to someone’s post?

Today, I am going to read a short passage about Facebook.

understand the selection better.

What are the disadvantages of using it?
As a learner, how does Facebook help you?
Are you going to post everything about yourself? Why or Why not?
If you will use Facebook now, what are you going to post? Why? (HOTS

8. Discussion
Let us read again your answers from the passage. What have you observe with
your answers? What did you observe with this group of sentences? How do we call this
sentence? What does it tell?
How about the other group of sentences? How do we call this one? Why do we
use these kinds of sentences?
Discuss to them how to write sentences and its purpose of writing.
There are three different tasks that I prepared, each group should
accomplish one activity that corresponds to your talents/skills.
Task 1: Through live broadcasting, act as a reporter, your classmates will serve
as netizens. Interview netizens on their opinions/emotions about Filipinos
diagnosed with COVID-19. Use kinds of sentences in expressing your
opinions/emotions. (Integration of Health)
Task 2: Analyze the tabular data showing the result of 31 st SEA Games in the
Philippines. Use kinds of sentences to express your opinions/emotions. Read
your answers with proper expression. (Integration of Math & Araling
Panlipunan)
10. Generalization:
Ask: What are the kinds of sentences that can be used to express
opinions/emotions? How do we write declarative sentence? exclamatory
sentence?
11. Application:
Show a short video of a news of incidence of Filipinos who were drowned
during the Holy week or long weekend. Let the pupils write a sentence to express their
opinions/ emotions. (Integration of Araling Panlipunan)
