Title: - Rebranding Pioneers Youth as a Young Professionals Organisation

Objectives

The rebrand seeks to position the organisation as a hub for young professionals rather than the
youth, which further seeks to distort the identity of the organisation.
Place emphasis on opportunities for career growth, mentorship, and skill development to attract
individuals early in their careers.
Maintain focus on youthfulness and energy signalling a commitment to innovation and
creativity.
Positioning Pioneers Youth as a hub for networking events and social activities attracting
young professionals who value networking opportunities for career advancement.
To support the established central theme of the organisation while breaking away from being
perceived as a youth club.

2.0. Proposition

2.1. Simple Arrangement


1. All activities of the organisation will be structured to service one of the below aspects:

Foster passion for development with an environment to advocate for
and reformation of education in to develop their change concerning
South Asia skills and better education in South

2. Accordingly, the organisation will only recruit individuals who demonstrate a passion and/or
a vision towards the development of education in South Asia.
3. All projects of the organisation must demonstrate how they will impact on one of the
aforementioned aspects, with the exception of community/social service projects conducted by
the Regional Working Committees.

2.2. Recruitment of Volunteers to Pioneers Youth


a) Rather than the focus on potential and willingness to learn, the executive Committee must
prioritise candidates with relevant professional experience and skills.
b) The Executive Committee must value candidates who can bring a strong network and
connections within the realm of education development.
c) The Executive Committee must request for the Resume/Curriculum Vitae of the candidate
prior to the interview.
d) Maintain emphasis on practices that support a healthy work-life balance while working within
the organisation, while highlighting flexible work arrangements, remote work options, etc.
e) The Department of Operations will create a clock-in and clock-out system for volunteers to
keep track of volunteer involvement with Pioneers Youth.

2.3. Professional Development and Networking


Pioneers Youth will actively support professional development and fostering networking
opportunities, creating a culture that values continuous learning, collaboration, and the building of
strong professional connects. Accordingly, the Executive Committee must ensure the following:

a) Establish mechanisms/initiatives for volunteers to find individuals with similar interests within
the organisation and encourage collaboration among them. Accordingly, the Department of
Operations will establish a mechanism to reward these collaborations.
b) The Department of Creative Engagements must implement a mechanism to create a
‘Knowledge Support Team’ (KSTs) upon request made by a volunteer engaging in a particular
research or exploring different perspectives of a subject/topic. The duration of the KST must
be determined by the requester followed by the approval of Director (Projects). Credits will be
provided for all members of the KST for their support in the effort, while expecting a moral
obligation on the requester to take part in KSTs requested by the fellow members of his/her
KST. Acknowledgement of the organisation and the contribution of the KST members will be
valued.
c) The Media Crew together with the Regional Working Committees must establish a mechanism
for volunteers to receive a ‘shout-out’ through the social media channels of the organisation
for their professional work, research and achievements, irrespective of whether the
organisation was affiliated with the work or not. Where such affiliation does not exist, the
consent of the volunteer must be sought prior to such action.

3.0. Approval
Accordingly, I seek the approval of the Board of Directors for the following:

1. Simple Arrangement (2.1)


2. Recruitment of Volunteers to Pioneers Youth (2.2)
3. Professional Development and Networking (2.3)

Furthermore, I urge the Board of Directors to create mechanisms for,

1. Active collaboration between volunteers (Department of Operations)


2. Establishment of KSTs (Department of Creative Engagement)
3. Shout-outs for volunteers (Media Crew)
