ELECTRICAL EMERGENCY

CONFIGURATION

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:
NORMAL OPERATION WITH ENGINES RUNNING

NORMAL POWER
Each engine driven generator supplies its associated AC Bus.AC
Bus 1 normally supplies AC ESS . TR 1 normally supplies DC BUS
1,DC BAT BUS & DC ESSS BUS.
TR 2 supplies DC BUS 2.
2 Batteries are connected to the DC BAT BUS,if they need charging.
System operation is automatic

FAILURE OF AC BUS 1+ AC BUS 2
EMERGENCY CONFIG

CAUSES:
LOSS OF AC1 + AC2 BUSSES
Caused by:
> Loss of both generators
OR
>Loss of one engine and failure of the opposite generator
OR
>Loss of both engines

FLIGHT DECK INDICATIONS


“FLY”

EMERGENCY ELECTRICAL CONFIGURATION is an


emergency situation, with red LAND ASAP displayed, and a
MAYDAY should be declared to ATC. A landing must be
carried out as soon as possible bearing in mind that the
weather conditions must be better than marginal due to the
complex configuration.ie Alt law, No FD’s,

>Attempt to reengage Auto Pilots Perform ECAM Actions, only EWD
