1. INTRODUCTION
Health, Development and Anti Malaria Association (HDAMA) is a Civil Society Organization,
which was established in 1998 to respond to the occurrence and increasing impact of devastating
malaria outbreak in Ethiopia. The Association has been officially registered as an indigenous
NGO by the then Ministry of Justice. Currently, the Association has re-registered and acquires a
legal personality with registration number 0419 as local organization in accordance with the
Civil Society Organization Proclamation No, 1113/2019

HDAMA envisions seeing a healthy society with sufficient livelihood opportunities and safer
environment. Since its establishment, HDAMA has served vulnerable communities through
integrating various health and development programs which contributed to the reduction of
diseases burden such as malaria and HIV/AIDS. The organization has strong collaboration and
partnership experience with a range of bi-lateral, multi-lateral and government organizations
based on trust and mutual understanding. It is also a member of different networks and consortia
like CCRDA, PHE and CORHA. HDAMA has proven experience in working with the local
government, communities and beneficiary groups including women, youth and adolescent.

Objective: The objective of the Regional Level Health Cluster and IMS meetings are to gather
key stakeholders from various organizations and sectors to discuss, coordinate, and plan efforts
in addressing public health issues within the Amhara region. This meeting aims to enhance
collaboration, share updates, and foster a more integrated approach to public health
interventions.

Agenda:

1. Welcome and Introduction

 Provided a brief overview of the purpose and importance of the meeting


 Introduce key organizers and facilitators and participants each other

2. Review of Previous Meeting Minutes and Action Points,

 War related public health emergencies IMS, reporting status, partners support etc., and
summarize the key outcomes and action points from the previous meeting and seek
updates on progress made and challenges faced regarding the previous action points

3. Presentations on Current Public Health Issues

 They invited relevant organizations, institutions, or individuals to give presentations on


the ongoing public health concerns within the Amhara region and Kamara from WHO
and Belaynew from APHI presented the current public health issues in both the health
cluster and IMS meetings. Allow time for questions, discussions, and exchange of ideas
and the participants raised different types of questions and they discussed in detail on the
raised questions.

4. Updates on Programs and Interventions

 Provided an opportunity for various organizations and sectors to share updates on their
ongoing programs and interventions related to public health and discuss potential areas
for collaboration and synergy among different initiatives

5. Coordination of Efforts and Resources

 The partners participated in the meeting identified gaps, duplications, and opportunities
for resource allocation and coordination within the region and they also discussed
effective ways to pool resources, share expertise, and avoid redundancy

6. Planning for Future Interventions

 They also brainstorm and prioritize key public health issues that require immediate
attention and formulate strategies and action plans to address the identified priorities in
addition to assign responsibilities and timeline for implementation

7. Strengthening Health Information Systems

 We discussed the importance of accurate and timely data collection, analysis, and
reporting in public health and share best practices and challenges related to health
information systems besides that identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to
enhance data utilization for decision-making

8. Any Other Business

 They provide an opportunity for participants to raise any additional issues or concerns
and some participants raised additional points on the current IDPs lives in the host
community.

9. Summary and Next Steps

 We Summarized the key discussions, decisions, and action points from the meeting and
confirm the date, time, and venue for the next cluster meeting after that the chairman
concluded the meeting, expressing appreciation for the participants' contributions and
commitment specially participants that participate on last mile delivery like HDAMA.

Note: It is essential to consider the specific needs, priorities, and context of the Amhara region
while preparing the agenda. The above outline provides a general framework, but it is adaptable
and can be modified as necessary and we also prepare the meeting report after the meeting. As

prepare the meeting report and share for the relevant bodies.
