Littcrit is a peer reviewed international journal published half-yearly, in June and

December. It seeks to reflect Indian responses to literature in general and has its
focus on select literary themes of national import. While representing different
schools of literary criticism, it has a preference for literary studies which search for
aesthetic dimensions ensuing from an organic interrelationship between literature
and social life. It also promotes theoretical inquiries with a historical orientation
relating to the problems of literature and arts. Every year, one issue will be multi-
thematic in nature, and the other will focus on a general theme of contemporary
relevance. The circulation profile of Littcrit includes academics, writers, students,
colleges, universities and libraries throughout India as well as abroad.
Submission Guidelines
All the submissions to the journal must be original, unpublished (print or online)
and not submitted elsewhere for consideration. A statement confirming that the
manuscript has been submitted exclusively to Littcrit, and is not under consideration
for any other publication must be included in the submission email.
Littcrit has a policy of anonymous peer review; and rejection or request for revision
could ensue after review. For all matters of style, please follow MLA style, 8th
edition, with a Works Cited list at the manuscript’s end. All correspondence may be

Articles
Articles may be submitted as Microsoft Word documents the name of which should
begin with the first author’s surname, and only electronic submissions via email
to littcrit@gmail.com will be considered. Hard copies need not be sent. Articles
should be double-spaced, with a clear margin of 1.5 inches on all sides, having
4000-5000 words.
Abstract and Keywords
The abstract should be of 150 words in length. Following the abstract, about 3 to
6 Keywords arranged in alphabetical order should be provided.
Book Review/ Film Review
Please send your review as a Microsoft Word document, the name of which
should begin with the first author’s surname. Only electronic submissions
will be considered; please do not send hard copies. Please submit via email
to: littcrit@gmail.com. Manuscripts should be double-spaced having about
800 - 1000 words. Please send the following details along with the manuscript:
Title of the book, Name of the author, Year of publication, Price, ISBN and book
cover image. In the case of films, send Name of the film, Director, Year of release.
The cover letter should include the corresponding author’s affiliation, full postal
address, email address and telephone numbers, and should be attached to the
e-mail message send to the Editor, along with the article/review document.

Littcrit is a peer reviewed journal. Reviewed articles may be returned to the

author for revision. In the normal course, the editor’s decision on an article will
be conveyed within three months from the date of receipt. The articles that do not
follow the submission guidelines will be summarily rejected.
Subscription
You can subscribe to Littcrit by remitting the prescribed amount through
DD, MO or Direct Transfer. DD shall be taken in favour of Littcrit payable at
Thiruvananthapuram and MO shall be sent to the Editor, Littcrit.
Please send all the documents through Ordinary Post/Speed Post.
