Hoover Dam

1. Hoover Dam:
The Hoover Dam, located on the border of Arizona and Nevada, is a
monumental concrete arch-gravity dam built during the Great
Depression in the 1930s. Completed in 1936, it spans the Colorado River,
creating Lake Mead and providing hydroelectric power and water for the
surrounding regions. The dam stands as an engineering marvel and a key
contributor to the development of the American Southwest.
