REVIEW OF A BAPTISM

Last Sunday I attended the baptism of my little

cousin that took place in the church of Pimampiro, it
was a very joyful celebration because all the family
and friends gathered to share this sacrament, where
we were able to witness the welcome of a new
member to the Christian community. The ceremony
was full of love and faith, where my cousin received
the blessings of his parents and godparents.

On the positive side, the church looked beautiful,

well lit and decorated with flowers and candles,
which created a spiritual atmosphere during the
ceremony. The activities were organized by the staff,
who were very friendly and attentive. The dishes
were delicious, well served and presented by a
helpful staff, and with a great variety in the menu,
offering vegetarian options.
On the other hand, the religious ceremony was too
long and tedious, which is understandable given that
it was a baptism and there were small children
whose interest was lost. During the reception
following the baptism, there was a lack of
organization. The waiting time to be served was
excessively long, the music was too loud, which
would have caused some people to be unable to
converse.
Overall, the baptism was a meaningful and
emotional event, where the love and support of the
community could be felt. Although there were some
negative aspects, such as the lack of organization
during the reception and the excessive length of the
religious ceremony, I would have had the duration
shortened by emphasizing the most important points,
to ensure that all guests fully enjoyed themselves.
There was also a lack of a photographer to capture
the special moments of the baptism, I would have
allowed someone I trusted to take pictures and
videos. However, despite these details, I really
enjoyed being with my family.
