Dear Diary,

Today was an eventful day. It started out as a routine Tuesday morning, but as the day progressed,
things began to Crop up(1).
First, my alarm clock didn't go off(2), and I ended up breaking off(3) from my sleep about 15
minutes before my usual wake-up time. I rushed to get ready, but in my haste, I accidentally left my
keys and had to search for them under the couch. I finally managed to draw up(4) in front of the
office just a few minutes late.
At work, things were even crazier. My boss brought about(5) a major change in our project plan,
which caused a the team members to fall out with(6) eachother . I tried to bring round(7) my
colleagues to his point of view, but they were reluctant to back down.
As the day wore on, more unexpected events happened. The IT department fell through(8) with a
promised software update, which meant we had to work with outdated systems. And to top it all off,
I came in for(9) some criticism from a client for a mistake I made last week. I was feeling so
stressed that I almost broke down right on the spot.
Despite the chaos, I managed to bring off(10) the presentation to the client, and they seemed to be
pleased with the results. I felt so relieved that I could finally catch on my breath.
On my way home, I was stopped by the police for speeding. We quarreled for a bit but I finally
backed down(11) and accepted my mistake. I was so tired that I instantly dropped off(12) once my
head hit the pillow on my bed
