Round 1. Technical +Aptitude

Technical :-

Frequently asked topic, * marked have 90% probability.

Thermodynamics:- 1st &2nd law,SFEE*,COP*,clausius inequality,triple

point of water, all cycles (curves).

Power plant:- Boiler basics(fire tube,water tube) ,Rankine cycle,nozzle*.

IC engine- Basics, component materials, formula based questions*,

octane & cetane number.

SOM:-stress-strain curve, thermal stress ,torsion equation* , mohr

circle, buckling eqn. , slenderness ratio, spring formula , thin cylinder* ,
thin sphere* , bending stress*.

Material science:-Iron carbon dia*. , heat treatment process*.

MST:- Casting* , welding

Fluid – Newton’s law of viscosity*.

MD- bearing concept, joints(rivet , fillet etc)*, keys.

INTERVEIW

Q1. Tell me something about your self.

Well in my opinion , this question is first n foremost ,omnipresent &

most predictable one. Hence one night before I have prepared my
curriculum vitae to present in well organized fashion. A fluent,
confident & positive answer strengthen the chances of selections. The
sequence of self description as follows :-

1. Family background & belonging (4-5 lines) :- Parents occupations,

sibling details & place where I belong.
2. Career Profile (15-20 lines) :- Schooling,10/12 %, AIEEE RANK, Clg
performance ,industrial training & technical activities, other
curricular & curricular activities, responsibilities held etc. + special
achievements .

Some HRs even would like to listen from u further. Generally they
interrupt for further proceeding after this description.

3. Personal Profile (4-5 lines) :- Hobby, like/dislike, strength.

NOTE :-Be well prepared on these things with examples,

experiences, stories bla bla ….. as in later part HR will bother u
on these things, which matters A LOT.
Do not tell about weakness UNTIL IT IS ASKED. But be well
prepared to show your efforts to improve upon it.

Q2. Related to Industrial training.

DO NOT TRY TO OVERPROJECT YOUR SELF….!!!
 Previously I was doing a mistake while preparing my cv. I was
trying to increase the content of it. But later I realized it was not
required. Only certain parts on which I was feeling most confident
,were to be mentioned. Even I removed that I have won Veni-Vidi-
Vici two times, as I was not confident on cross questions related
to valve & gear industry(The problem statements). I have
mentioned only 1 minor project of my industrial training instead
of 3. Prepared it well from basics up to applications &
installations.

Q4. After that some cross questions may done on following
topics
Area Of Interest , Basics Mechanical (Interview questions are
shared in technical questions file ).

Q5. HR QUESTIONS
SEEMS TO BE SIMPLE BUT HARD TO ANSWER WITHOUT SELF
INTROSPECTION ONCE. IT IS HARDER TO JUSTIFY THE POINT
EVEN…!!! FRAMED STORIES ARE BEST WAYS :P

Q6. Do you any questions(lastly interviewer asks)

I asked following question just to show my interest in company.

1. What kind of job I wud be doing, opportunity to involve in inter

dept. work etc. etc.
2. I made a good use of news ODD/EVEN plan rolling out in Delhi a
day before by asking :-

Impact on your sales. :P

Any future plan to switch on to full mode electric vehicle. :P

Although listen nothing because asking was only serving my

purpose :P .
