1) What is an antioxidant?

An antioxidant is a molecule stable enough to donate an electron to a rampaging


free radical and neutralize it, thus reducing its capacity to damage. These antioxidants
delay or inhibit cellular damage mainly through their free radical scavenging property.

2) What is Positive control and Negative control?


- A positive control group is a control group that is not exposed to the experimental
treatment but that is exposed to some other treatment that is known to produce
the expected effect.

- A negative control is a group in an experiment that does not receive any type of
treatment and, therefore, should not show any change during the experiment.
