Method:

1. Set up your solutions for each beaker labelled A-C:

a. 2.5cm^3 of 0.0100M Sodium Thiosulfate
b. 7.5cm^3 of deionised/distilled water
c. 10cm^3 of 0.0400M Potassium Persulfate
d. 10cm^3 of 1M Potassium Iodide (ratios of 10:0, 3:1 and 1:1 (potassium iodide:
distilled/deionised water))
2. First add ten drops of starch solution from a dropping pipette into each beaker.
3. Then add the sodium thiosulfate to each beaker.
4. Then add the distilled water to each beaker.
5. Then add the potassium Persulfate to each beaker.
6. Make sure that you have a stop watch/clock on hand
7. Add the potassium iodide solution to a singular beaker and swirl it twice, then start the
timer, stop it when it turns blue/black.
8. Record the result
9. Repeat stages 7-8 for each beaker.
