7 leadership hurdles women face in the workforce
There are 7 common challenges that women face as they ascend the leadership ranks. The good
news is, with practice and purposeful intention, these 'hurdles' can be crossed skillfully

First hurdle is confidence. The question that confidence brings is: Can I do it? Switch/shift: Yes, I do!
It's about how we feel about ourselves and others and what are that impacts our confidence.

The second hurdle is ambivalence. if you as a woman leader can't answer the question what do you
want in your private life or in your professional life? How anybody else supposed to help you get
there?

So important is understanding and defining what's next and then pursuing it / understanding and
defining what it is that you want? I know what I want!

Branding and presence

The question there is: How am I showing up? (Jak się pokazuję?)

Women are very uncomfortable talking about who we are and what we bring to the table. The shift
here is moving from a place that other people care of this for us to a place of: it's my responsibility to
make sure you know what I bring.

There is very important networking. We think that networking is optional. But honestly is strategic
relationship building. We should think about that very seriously and build relationships and build
sponsorship for yourself within our organization.

making the ask women are very uncomfortable asking for something that they want, and you know
salary negotiations and job negotiations and life negotiations, or just asking for help. so the shift for
this hurdle is stop thinking about what you need as self-serving requests and ask for what you need
and want?

proving our value (udowadniając naszą wartość) we are working really hard and we are rowing the
boat really fast. and the idea here is we really just want everybody know that we're adding value.
The point is that we should slow down a little bit and ask the others to come and start rowing to. Ask
for help.
