22 Dear Editor,
23 This article was written in response to a previous article entitled "Career adaptability to prevent
rP

24 unexpected careers and burnout for female employees in the remote work era".1 This article discusses career
25 adaptability for women, which requires access to new skills and professional networks. Increasing career
26 adaptability is becoming increasingly important in a rapidly changing world of work.2 For women, these
ee

27 challenges can be more complex due to factors influencing their roles in work and personal life, as well as
28
their vulnerability to mental health disorders.3 This article examines the crucial role played by counselors
29
in helping women overcome their career challenges through expressive writing therapy, with a focus on the
rR

30
31 use of digital platforms as efficient and widely accessible tools.
32 Constant changes in the world of work, especially in the digital era, have changed the traditional
paradigm of careers for women.4 Women, who often face dual roles as workers and caregivers, must
ev

33
34 develop a high degree of career adaptability to achieve success in this rapidly changing environment.5
35 Expressive writing therapy is an approach that is emerging as an effective tool in helping women overcome
36

these challenges. Expressive writing therapy is an approach that combines elements of writing with therapy.
37
In the context of career counseling, expressive writing therapy provides a platform to reflect, express
38
39 emotions, and plan career steps more effectively, and the use of digital platforms allows broader access to
40 these services.6,7
41 The use of digital platforms in expressive writing therapy has opened the door to more inclusive,
42 accessible, and convenient counseling services.8 This provides more options for individuals seeking support
43 in self-development and increased career adaptability.9 Some of the main benefits provided by the use of
44 digital platforms in the context of expressive writing therapy are: (1) easier access; (2) comfort in sharing;
45
(3) ease of schedule; (4) tracking and analyzing; (5) availability of additional resources, (6) data security
46
47 and privacy; (7) media flexibility, and (8) overcoming geographical constraints.10,11
48 The counselor's skill in guiding clients in expressive writing on digital platforms is a very important
49 aspect to ensure the effectiveness of therapy and client development, so that the above benefits can be felt
50 by clients.12 So, what kind of skills should a counselor have? The following are some counselor skills that
51 are relevant in this context such as: (1) empathy skills; (2) effective communication; (3) understanding of
52 client challenges; (4) writing skills; (5) expertise in the use of technology; (6) experienced in expressive
53
writing therapy; (7) the ability to ask in-depth questions; (8) comprehensive assessment; (9) analytical
54
55 skills; and (10) understanding privacy and ethics.13,14
