House of Guest

It was pretty cold in the evening. Possibly the heavy downpour

just stopped few minutes ago. Possibly my heart has been frozen
badly. It was hard to figure out what the reason right now that
would randomly be plausible for me. Looking at the digital clock in
the dashboard, I felt that it was time to get back to my tough job.
Something I have to deal with it head-on.
As this moment, as usual, my smartphone was automatically
started to vibrate that was placed at the passenger seat. Abruptly,
it would interrupt and break the silence in the car with my lost
heart.
I stretched out my hand to pick it up quickly as I knew what
was that call to be, but I couldn’t just let it trail off without
answering it.
“Hi. Janice.” I pressed and answered with my eyes closed
tightly.
“Henry. Where are you now?”
“Janice, the place that my only responsibility is called upon.”
“I know. I really hope that I can see you and……tell you
everything right now?
I felt shocked to hear her soft voice as most of the time we
would start to argue about anything that would procrastinate or
abandon our meeting.
“Don’t worry. Honey. We will meet soon. Now I have to make
something right,” I paused and looked away, then back to the line
again, said hesitantly “I promise. Honey. It won’t take long.”
Usually, I would call her as “honey” instead of her exact name. But,
recently it has been stopped due to few trivial argument happened.
Janice paused and wiped her tears from her cheek. Over the
phone, I could sense that she tried to hold her breath as hard as
she could.
Finally, she said “Henry. I love you too much. Always in my
heart.”
I was thrown completely off balance by Janice’s strong
emotionalism and sentimentality. Plus, I felt guilty and sorry that
I didn’t free up some time for her recently.
“Janice. Don’t be like that. I will meet up with you by tomorrow
lunch hour. What you think?” I finished and stopped the ignition
simultaneously.
Silence came back. This time it was getting tense.
“Okay. Sure. Be careful. I love you.”
Before ending the call, I convinced her just one more time.
“Janice. You know I love you more than anyone else in this earth.
Trust me, everything is going to be fine. Love you always.”
“Love you too.”
I hung up and held the smartphone tightly, leaning back against
the leather chair exhaustedly. Somehow relieved. Somehow irritated.
Somehow horrified. What have I done!

I climbed out of the Nissan and stepped onto the wet and chilly
tarmac, abruptly looking up to the grilled window in the second
floor of the darkened house in front of me. Sighed.
I made few heavy moves till I reached the gate door. Always, I
felt very uncomfortable with something that was keeping a weather
eye on me from everywhere. I knew it was real thing. No doubt.
Still, oblivious of that kind of feeling, I echoed deftly the sound
of unlocking the handler once I entered the lounge of the house.
I looked around the dimly lounge in awe and then placed my
smartphone together with my car key on the top of black entry table.
Sighed.
My heart was getting heavy of seeing the scene of the house.
There was a rocking chair in the living room, it was always
rocking back and forth as if someone just shifted his weight or
pushed lightly with his heavy feet. It seemed to be irritated at my
presence. As usual, I ignored it. Before taking my step on the
staircase, sometimes I would find xxxxxxx appeared at the end of
staircase of second floor as if someone always there in the attempt
of stopping me from coming upstair. As usual, I ignored it too. When
I passed through it, I could feel the coldness of this invisible
shadow. Always, I ignored it without hesitation.
At the dimly-lit corridor, I walked slowly, lightly and
delicately and always my shaking barefoot could feel the wooden
floor got warmed and gave me a clue that something was standing
firmly on it most of the time. Unpleasant presence. I shook my head
and murmured something that I have no idea at all but hoped that it
would help a lot. Deep down, it helped every time I was here.
The photo frames hanging on a wall were a gallery of the pictures
collected from my childhood to graduation and vacation events but
now I could see that the faces of them were suddenly transformed to
horrified images in crying, screaming, hollowing and scratching with
no voices to be heard. All of them stared down at me. As usual, I
just ignored them.
Finally I reached the wooden door at the end.
I opened the door timidly and a cold breeze swept out from the
room that fluttered my blue shirt and red tie lightly. Frequently, I
shuddered and paid no attention to it, maybe it was something I had
started to be used to it. I ignored it again.
In the room, there was only the old woman aged 80 was sleeping on
the bed in silence that caught my attention. But, I could hear her
to breath so loud and heavy. Also, her eyes remained closed tightly.
A clutch of her gray hair scattered around her pillow as if it were
snake-like roots spread around the shallow earth. One hand of her
was scratching the air unconsciously on and off as if she had tried
to push something away from her. For me, it was nothing in sight.
Another hand of her rested peacefully on other side like a dead
fresh. Her legs were curled up desperately as if she feared that
someone would drag her down to the floor.
The bedside lamp was off. The window next to her was half covered
by long and thick white curtain. It seemed that she was living in
the darkest part of her world.
I left the door open widely for air circulation between the
darkened corridor and this murkily room. It was unpleasant odour. I
stood firmly by her bedside. Unexplainable heartbreaking. The smell
of ………….A small red-coloured empty plastic chair located next to her
bedside that would serve many purposes like patient chair. I grabbed
it and felt strangely that it was too heavy to lift up from the
ground. Extremely cold and sticky. My shirt was started to soak with
my heart raced hastily, and whispered. “Please. Let me alone.”
Suddenly I heard the heavy footstep touched the floor from the chair
that became very light immediately under my grasp. It left
unnoticed.
I held her right hand closer to my mouth and kissed
compassionately on it.
“Mom. Is me. Henry. Your son. How are you?” I asked in low voice
quavered with a sense of helplessly worrisome. I afraid that I
would wake her up and she would find it difficulty to hit the bed
again.
Watching her face closely, I sighed again and looked away, within
this glimpse of moment, she seemed so wan and haggard. Extremely
hurt to see this scene.

At 6.00pm. As usual, I would prepare myself in front of the iron

gate under the dense foliage. It was chilly moment. I always kept
looking back and called up loudly. “Mom! Are you ready?”
“Yes. Sweetheart. Just give your brother some time. He is in the
toilet now.” She answered as she was on her way out from the house.
I shook my head and said “He is always like that. Last minute get
the thing done.”
My mom grinned and walked towards me and then bent down, and said.
“Sweetheart. If one day I am not around, then you would feel alone
because you have your brother.”
I looked at her with confused expression and finally said. “Mom.
Actually I got many of them. Ninja Turtle, Bubblebee, Sailormoon
and..“
My mom laughed happily and turned “Seems your brother is ready
now, go pick your bicycles.”
I nodded and said “Finally, you...”. Suddenly, I paused and stared
at my mom for awhile, and questioned “Why you said that you would
not be around. Are you going to leave me?”
“Of course not. My boy. I am always with you.” She said and kisses
lightly on my cheek.

The sound of the key had echoed noisily in the downstair and
followed by the heavy footsteps that were drawing near. Minutes
passed, someone stood by the doorway like a hatred sentinel and
shook his head in anger as if he would be exploded anytime.
“Why so late to be here? She was asking about you many times.”
He finished and started to walk past me, sighed and put down the
takeout on that plastic chair next to her bed.
I said nothing
“My meeting just ended quite late. You know, the distance from
PJ and Selayang is long journey.” I said listlessly and stood beside
the windows where overlooking the quietness on the street.
“I have brought her wanton noodle as she requested. You might
feed her now.” He finished and sat on the nightstand besides the
dressing table. From his movement, I figured that he was exhausted
and haggard.
I nodded and put my thumb finger on that cartoon of noodle and
it has lost its warm.
How long has he been outside? He just left her alone in the
house like that? What’s wrong with him?
Confused by many unresolved questions in my minds. Then, I
walked to him and could smell his body engulfed of the cigarette
stuff.
“How was mom today. Any improvement?”
He looked up from the dressing table and obviously his eyes
looked some sort of half closed. Needless to say, he has been dozed
off while I started to ask something from him.
“Not much improving. Only lying on the bed from day to night. You
know. After she fell down in the living room on that day. She is
started to feel weak and grumble the pain of legs everyday.”
“We have tried to bring her to see few doctors and also stayed
in the hospitals for good measure. But, it was still the same.
Already six months past.”
I paused and wondered this statement I have been repeating many
times in the space of six months and no point to be complained
about.
He cupped his face and then he fixed his gaze on the figure of
mother. “She is getting thin now.”
The lights in the outside crept in and covered her body in
white. It was most visible.
Suddenly, it made my heart so lonely and despair. Coming home
lately was unforgivable.
“How was her breakfast and lunch today?” I asked.
“She seems no appetite. Refused to eat.”
“It can’t be continued like that. We have to make her take it by
force!” I yelled and looked into his gray eye fiercely.
“Please. Don’t get your dander up. What am I supposed to do? Do
you think I didn’t coax her to eat. I have tried it. Many many
times. Always, it went in vain at last. But I am still kept trying
to do it. You know, she cries out loud every time when I pushes her
to take up food. It hurt my heart badly to see her acting like
that.” He paused, minutes passed, continued. “She is struggling with
something that I didn’t know. I started to give up what I wanted to
know already. Seems that she is always not here. Maybe somewhere
else. You never know.”
I looked away in trying to avoid all the unpleasant thoughts.
“Sorry. But… we can’t let her die in starvation? We have to stop
it. No one can stop us to get her better.”I finished and looked
around the room furiously. Then, I returned back to the bedside to
look at her in deep thought.
He looked puzzled but not unduly so, and said. “What are you
talking about? Who will stop her from eating. She just eat less.
Possibly after few days mom will be alright. I will take good care
of her. Don’t worry.”

* * * *

“Sweetheart. Tell me why?”

I folded my arms and looked away from my mom’s gentle eyes.
She waited.
I waited too.
“I don’t like it.” I pointed at the dishes on the table at last.
Peering over her spectacles, she began to count and recount the
dishes and seemed that she lost the calculation already.
I lost patience and exclaimed. “Is it hard to count.”
She smiled and said. “I wanted to know how many dishes are made
up by veggies stuff.”
Perplexed by her account, I turned and looked at it, and
said.”One dish is cabbage and another one is carrot with tofu.”
“Bingo. You knew the exact number and their name. Now your are
their master, and they want to serve you well with their nutrients
and ingredients. Thus, you have to fulfil their serving.”
“But..”
My mom smiled again and smoothed my hair, and said. “You might try
it in a bit. As the time goes by, you

After my brother walked out from the room, I sighed and turned to
notice that our takeout was no longer on the plastic chair. It just
gone. Then, I made few steps closer to it in trying to find it out
and then found that the wanton noodle was held tightly by two snake-
like hands extended by a half-body figure which partly emerged from
the darkened corner. I breathed deeply and staggered back, staring
hard at this horrible thing in disbelief. At the same time, I could
sense that the weight of that chair next to me was occupied by
spirited object.
Within few seconds, this partly blurred image was totally formed
in complete surrounded by a smoke of black mist emitted from the
darkness.
Already I retreated to the wall, trying to fight back my fear.
Somehow, I felt a mixture of thousand things in my mind. Fear,
abomination, hatred, anger and even loneliness.
I looked down at her in awe and quickly charged to her bedside.
No one could hurt you. I started to feel the forces of that spirit
were intensified and spread over the room.
At the same time, I heard the sound of coughing come from the
mirror of dressing table. breathed hardly. I stood there quavered
with fear and shook violently.
Fear and angry of me merged and mingled as the faceless spirit
floated towards my direction.
I couldn’t stand it anymore. I turned to see a black figure
inside the mirror. No eyes. No nose. No ears. Only long hair, pale
cheek and gaping mouth. Its tongue from the gaping mouth licked the
foul air and also released the sound of coughing with the revelation
of black rotten teeth.
I looked around and knew that we were not alone. They were all
here to watch us.
In this very moment. My anger was spiralling up tremendously and
stood up to shout. “Let her alone. Cease trying to take her away.”
The room was returned back to extremely quiet and hungry
darkness. Both intruders were vanished in an instant and no
reflection in the mirror anymore.
I took a deep breath and looked down at mom who was still in the
deepest sleep.

I went down the stairs and noticed that there was no one in the
living room except for the swinging sound of the rocket chair.
Looking around, the house was staying at the state of cantankerous
quietness. All the corners immersed in the gloomy state. It seemed
that the lightbulbs gave out appallingly dim light in the porch,
living room and bedrooms.
I had worked my way up to the kitchen and then found my brother
sat next to the countertop. He looked like lost in the wide ocean
and then never found any coast to onshore.
The unstoppable sounds from living room seemed slightly louder
than usual before I entered the kitchen.
I began to take out my smartphone and then paused, I have no
idea who could I call to find someone in knowing of some sort
exorcism.
Suddenly my heart went frozen when I saw few missed calls of her
on the locked screen.
When I was about to press her phone number to call, my brother
tried to meet my unwanted gaze.
I just ignored him and walked to the stoop next to countertop to
sit, putting down my smartphone on top of it.
He pretended to look away and quiet.
“Did you know something in the house?” I asked finally
“What are you talking about?” He turned and said reluctantly.
I rolled my eyes and said. “I saw something. This is the reason
mom less healthy.”
“Something. Something what.” He rumbled.
I looked at his eyes and exclaimed. “Spirit. Demons. Spook.
Whatever it called. You didn’t sense it all the time.”
He and then thoughtful as if he was lost and found in the wide
open ocean.
“Come on. Are you with me?” I shouted and studied his eyes to
see if he could tell me what was happened in these last few days
after the collapse of our mother.
Minutes passed, he still stood quietly. Relented. Dazed.
I continued. “Listen. Maybe you can’t see them. But I didn’t.
These demons everywhere. They are trying to take her away from us.
It is just a matter of time. We have to do something before it is
too late.”
“It is impossible that something is here.” He said nonchalantly.
“No. We got them here right now.”
I pointed to the rocket chair and said. “Don’t tell me that you
have never seen it when you were standing here to make coffee, drink
your alcohol and smoke a cigar.”
His brow creased. Again, he lost himself and no response at all.
Then I nudged him to look at the staircase, and said. “There is
always something to obstruct and block my way.” At the bottom of
the staircase, I heard a low cracking sound ascending and was gone.
I ignored it and carried on. “You have been using it thousand times.
Are you sure you have no thought of it?”
He bristled.
I blurted “Mother is surrounded by many dead things. You know.”
He sat down on the stool finally and cooked his face, without a
word.
“We have to get shaman to usher them out from here.” I said
grumpily and slapped the countertop hardly. Sometimes I felt that it
would help sending the message out to them “let us alone”
He jerked to his feet and started to rummage his cigarette pack
from his pocket.
He
“You know, they are our father, grandfather, grandmother and
other relatives. They want to visit our mother.” He said as he lit a
cigar.
“What! This was crazy thing I heard. Here not their rendezvous.
Their playground. No invitation. They broke into our house like
that. No good intention. Came other strangers also. Listen to me
again. They want to take her along with them. You know. I want them
to get out from our house now.”
“Maybe it is okay. Think positively.”
“Bullshit. The real one like our four brothers. Already texted
them, called them and even reminded them by many calls but still no
avail. But, in contrary, the unwelcome one is showing up
continually. I don’t care who are they. I just want them to leave
now.”
He walked grumpily away from me and murmured sharply “They are
listening. Watch out your words.”
I shook my head and looked around with hard angry eyes.

Everyday we would walk past a few streets to pass by the crowded

playground not far away from our nearby neighbourhood.
Many children were there to play their favourite things like
seesaws, swings and slides while their father and mother would stand
under the trees or sit at the benches to wait and care about them.
I glanced back and wondered why my part of parenthood was not
complete.
My mom always held our hands tightly and kept walking till we
arrived at a small village where was located next to KTM rail
trails.
Birds were swooping down and chirping noisily at the conn.. roof
of the shanties surrounded by swaying and shaking coconut trees.
“Sweetheart. Your favourite trees. You two got 15 minutes to say
hello to them.”
We both nodded and moseyed about them happily. Out of the
sudden, I saw a dead bird next to the root of coconut trees and took
it up immediately.
I presented it to my mom and asked. “Was it died? Are we able to
bring it back?”
My mom smiled first and then said. “Impossible. It is nature.
One day I will be the same.”
I cried out loud and exclaimed.”I wouldn’t let you go. I will
protect you forever.”
My mom laughed and said. “Sweetheart. I always with you.”

* * * *

I sauntered into the room and frowned at the strange vision from
my mother who was looking morbidly at the window as if she
unconsciously awakened from a deep dream.
Instantly, I came back to think that something was started to
happen anew.
Taking a deep breath, I looked around lawyerly and sat down on
that plastic chair. This time it was belonged to me. Unoccupied.
“Mom,” I said in a low voice. “I didn’t know what happened to you.
You didn’t say anything. Maybe you are so tired. Exhausted. Possibly
you are punishing us now by doing this so that all of us will feel
sorry. Mom. It can’t change the fact. They will not pay any single
visit as you wish. I have already drawn a line in the sand with
them. Please. Please don’t be so like that. You got me and second
brother with you.”
She still glared at the window and didn’t pay any attention to
what I said.
I shook my head and looked down at the floor. There was a
hairless head facedown. I couldn’t figure when it was there. I just
closed my eyes, hoping that it would disappear from my sight. Guided
by impromptu reaction, I just looked up with eyes shut. ‘Give it a
minute.’
Minutes passed, I opened my eyes and caught something like an
unseen shadow stood by the window and vanished rapidly. My heart was
pounding hard all of a sudden.
Then the wind came from nowhere. It was cold but my palm were
started to sweat. Immediately I turned instinctively to look at her
in order to ensure she was fine.
Relieved.
Then I asked “Mom. Do you want me to draw the shades?”
She lifted her hand and pointed at the window with widened eyes.
Her lips were shaking. A sense of uneasiness was obviously emanated
from her twisted face.
Me too. Unsettled feeling.
“Did you see it? He is standing there and looking at me.” She
cried in low voice and hugged herself tighter.
I followed her gaze and found no one stand next to the window. I
thought that it was not there anymore like by-passer with a glimpse
of the shadow.
“Mom. No one is there.” I answered and continually smoothed her
wrinkled hands, I could sense her weak body so tense and stiff.
“I don’t like him. Really hate him so much. Why is he still here?
Tell him go away now.”
She pushed aside my hand and turned to other side and closed her
eyes tightly. I could notice that her cloth was partly soaked.
Next to the window, again, I saw the mistily haze appeared and
faded away at once. I still could remember that image of an oval
face with a mocking smile. Big eyes and big nose. It looked like
blurred figure but it was vividly presented. One thing for sure that
he was an old man equal to my mother’s age.
Again she said fiercely “Tell him go away. leave me alone.”
I turned to see her and patted on her head gently, and said “Mom.
Don’t worry. I am here. Everything is fine.”
As I shifted my weight, i could felt something moved next me
also.
She bit her lips and wailed “Is he still there?”
“Mom. He left already. You can get back to sleep,” I said softly
and rubbed her back gently.
Eventually she was fell asleep
anew. Then, I felt a bit passion to kiss her forehead. I saw a pool
of sticky slime under my feet. It looked something bloodstained
patch. I stepped back hurriedly and hit the plastic chair backward
and fell. I grabbed it with both hands in time and turned back and
found it faded away inadvertently.
I walked towards the wall and turned on the light but it didn’t
works. Darkness took over the room now. This entire strange and
horrible vision has really keyed me up.
Hurriedly, I descended and moved to the middle of the living room,
looked around and held out my hands and roared with infuriation
“Leave now. Your idiot.”
When I turned back, there was a blank face with a long black neck
attached to deformed body stared down at me. I studied at its face
without fear except for indignation and dismay. Within minutes, all
the eyes, nose and mouth were formed on that face. Once it come
total complete, it shrieked deafeningly to show its sharpest teeth
and fangs. Immediately, I was lifted up two feet high from the
ground and then threw me over the wall by its invisible force.
For an instant it already drifted towards me as I collapsed on
the floor after the lifting.
This time I heard it clearly from my mind that I would die of
dire confrontation with this uncontrollable and atrocious demon. I
couldn’t move my hands or legs as if it had been nailed down firmly
by needles.
“You are fucking demon!” I scolded vehemently.
The forefinger of the demon began to skate in the air and
exclaimed “Up!”
Instantly I was pulled away from the ground again and went up in
the air vertically quickly toward the ceiling, loud harsh thumps and
crashed and then I went down on the floor together with scattered
ceiling debris.
I almost passed out from this topsy-turvy blows but I still
heard the high-pitched voice of angry demon around me.”You think I
am such a wuss. You think it is over. Believe me, not yet. Someone
has to sacrifice for me. No doubt. Your mother. Die. You, you are so
disrespectful and arrogant creature. Die.”
I looked up and shocked that there was an inch between my eyes
and a sharp splinter in the air.
“This little thing to be part of your body soon. Idiot!” The demon
exclaimed and smirked.
It seemed that it would puncture into my eyes anytime as demon’s
command. But, it just stopped in midsection unexpectedly. No moving.
No sound. Strange moment. I could see the demon who turned back and
looked over the staircase. Suddenly high iron of terror stirred in
my heart. She was in danger. Few seconds passed, the demon nodded
and turned to look at me with a unpleasant grin.
It happened quite opposite as the demon just vanished as a
glimpse of eyes. I turned my tear-wet eyes to my brother who was
lying on the floor with his face down at the kitchen.
“Kent, are you alright? Kent, answer me!” I shouted loudly.
Finally, I saw him get up slowly, pushing himself up from the
floor scattered with broken woods and glasses. With his remaining
strength, he ran hurriedly towards the staircase and shouted “Go
find mom!”
I straightened up and headed straight for the staircase also,
smelling strong Sakura perfume everywhere. Probably it was oozed
from that demon on its way. Finally I stormed into the room and saw
my brother sit next to her bedside quietly. She was still asleep.
I felt at ease and gestured him to look after her. Then I walked
around and inspected every nook and cranny of the house. It seemed
that everything has changed in the jiffy. No more strange things.
Even the darker moment just gone entirely. And now it all began to
seem very quiet. I breathed in and out heavily. I smoothed those
bruises on my hands and legs carefully. Still, I couldn’t believe in
myself that I was able to defeat it successfully.
Out of the sudden, my smartphone clattered on the ground that I
have no idea when it had fell down and now it caught my worn-out
attention. On the cracked and fractured screen, the unfamiliar
number appeared, probably it explained something like scams call.
Within few seconds, I poked at it and asked reluctantly. “Who is
this?”
“Mr Henry? Please.”
She sounded depressed and concerned.
“Yes. I am. You are…” I answered briefly.
“I am Janice’s mother, Mdm Fong.”
I stopped for a while, possibly I was spooked by this unexpected
call. Quickly, from nowhere came a loud buzzing in my ears as if it
was hitting the drum hardly repeatedly, I immediately apologised. “I
am so sorry. I didn’t know you are Janice’s mother. Is Janice fine?”
Over the phone, I could sense her state of depression, and then I
sobered up and asked seriously. “Mdm Fong, something happened.”
I could imagine that she had nodded ruefully and found the answer
so unbearable to be told. Taking few seconds to answer “Janice has
already gone.”

* * * *

Looking at above the sky, my eyes cautiously found the shining

stars in faraway universe staring at me blatantly. Was it real? Was
it just Janice’s farce to make me felt guilty.
Minutes past, I finally said “I just hung up with her few hours
ago.”
“What are you talking about? Last three days ago she got car
accident and in a state of unconsciousness in the hospital till half
hour ago she’s gone. Yesterday I gave you a call but and someone
picked up saying you were overseas.”
I was extremely dumbfounded and found it hard to take in this
statement. Not possible. I teetered “But...I....don’t understand.
Wait a minute....What overseas.”
Mdm Fong said. “Will see you at her funeral in this upcoming
Friday.” She finished and the line cut off.
I hung up and wondered who had taken my call without informing
me. No clue. No track. No update. It was totally incomprehensible.
Within seconds, I opened my eyes widely and finally realised that
the spirit of Janice was xxxxxxx presented in the living room where
I was almost demarcate. The odour of sakura perfume made the
situation placated and that was her favourite fragrance. No doubt
she came to make a deal with that demon unconditionally. She saved
all of us. She scarified herself. The thought of her face was
unbearable.
Minutes passed, I left the house and worked my way up to my car.
Gazing up the window above, I felt that my mom had returned
eventually to normal condition.
I held her photo tightly.
“Janice, I love you too much. I promise” I said as my tears
already touched my pale cheeks.

The end

Janice has already gone. The lights of the city twinkled and dazzled
the sky, and distant sounds of traffic disrupted the quiet. The
unseen voice screamed He began to fade back into the haze again, but
before the dimming world was gone entirely. Looked apprehensively
upward. Stormed out of the house. I shivered violently

Suddenly I felt that this man just woke up from the thought of his
world.
Last few days my mother fell down in the living room. But she looked
okay then. Actually she has no symptom of convulsion. She could
walk, eat and watch as usual. Out of the sudden, last week, her
condition has been changed. Her body is getting weak. Always laying
on the bed. Loss of appetite. Grumbling the pain of legs. Possibly
it was caused by the fall. Most of the time, she is on the bed only.
Refused to walk around the house even outside.”
“What the doctor said to you?”
“She refused to see the doctor as well. That’s why I don’t know what
is the cause of it

Suddenly a shrieking noise began in the distance
